I agree that 3 seizes is a good place to be, Jund is on the uptick and that card is good in the match

Thanks, I like unlife a bit more against burn as it's usually close to game over if you have any sort of pressure, I haven't played that much with Lightning Helix though, I'll give it a whirl. I did cut the Godless Shrines, with Thoughtseize and Steppe Lynx in the main I thought it might be useful from time to time to fetch, but every time I did, it messed up my curve.

I might cut thoughtseize from the main altogether in the Lynx version, there is a lot of aggro right now.

I'm back to playing to deck after a hiatus, having some success with the Steppe Lynx /Nacatl build. With 4 Bolt / 3 thoughtseize maindeck. For now, having access to stony silence and phyrexian unlife seem to be worth it.

Haven't played with Traverse, it seems to me that the it would work better the Kiln Fiend build since you have less 1 drops clogging that slot. It seems quite bad without delirium though.

Some interesting lines of play here, interesting that he opted to keep inquisition on the draw against affinity. Also hitting only vault skirge with pyroclasm seemed questionable. He had the stony silence so I guess it didn't matter.

it's amazing how quick the MTGO markets respond to these things, hell ya 14 suicide zoo players is a lot, it's more than Tron! Wow. I'm curious if they are running steppe lynx, a more aggro metagame had me leaning towards loam lion.

About the Eldrazi Deck, perhaps i've just had bad draws, but if they hit their discard spells + removal, into lingering souls, you need a specific set of cards to win.

Drinkard, I've started playing your Kiln fiend version from a few posts back and I'm liking it so far. Having thoughtseize in the main is excellent. I'm curious to see how your testing on the grixis version goes, it looks sweet. Having serum visions seems great. Slip through space seems good too, maybe even that R Haste cantrip.

Edit: Stubborn Denial seems pretty spicy out of the sideboard.

This Eldrazi deck has gotten kind of annoying to play against, I might put in some leyline of sanctity in my sideboard after the banned cards come into effect, I expect we might see more burn and the leyline seems to shut off many of the Eldrazi deck's cards. Pyroclasm also seems like it will be good going forward as well, not to mention stony silence

I've seen a few lists runng goyf as well, pretty interesting since he can get huge real quick. I'm playing the Lynx version still but I haven't settled on a decent sideboard. Has anyone else tried spellskite? It seems great sometimes but slow other times. You can target any spell with skite if you need to lose life and you can also fight with an opponents spellskite.

    Hey Infinite,

What Lunicyl said, I'll also add that it is a nice deck transformation against a deck like splinter twin, i side out become immense and Battle rage, they end with a hand full of dead dispels and spell snares.

Its excellent against things like cyrptic command or deflecting palm, they don't often see it coming, and its free

    Ruinah,

15 lands seems pretty light, but it's hard to say without your decklist. Also, why only 9 fetchlands? I hate drawing a non-fetch lands, at least 12 seems mandatory especially if you are running Steppe Lynx

Drinkard congrtas on the 5-0, this is an interesting new direction to take the deck. thoughtseize into Kiln Fiend seems pretty strong, I assume you win quite often if you untap on turn 3 with kiln fiend, is become immense even needed?

Slaughter pactseems strong in the sideboard here, as does pact of negation. How's the match-up against Twin? Twin seems to show up in large numbers at tournaments not necessarily as reflected on MTGO

    4 Wooded Foothills
    4 Windswept Heath
    4 Bloodstained Mire
    1 Stomping Ground
    1 Temple Garden
    1 Overgrown Tomb
    1 Sacred Foundry
    1 Blood Crypt

Wouldn't Marsh Flats still be better than Bloodstained Mire or Windswept Heath here?

TS sounds interesting, saving from bolt is very appealing. Scry is fine, but bauble is already psuedo scry most times.

My biggest issue with the bauble version right now is how lacklust monastery swiftspear has been for me. I am down to 3 copies, I wish I could run 3 hooting mandrils and 4 become immense in the same deck, ugh first world problems Weird

@Davius I'll give stoney silence and leyline a try and I have to admit I'm not in love with destructive revelry nor ancient grudge for that matter.

Lunicly I think most people are playing feed the clan in the sideboard I was just personally trying to see if I could get by with a more versatile sideboard card. The matchup is pretty difficult IMO and drawing FTC doesn't win the game on the spot. The matchup rests on drawing death's shadow and temur battle rage. That's not say its not good against burn, modern is just so incredibly diverse and sideboard slots are precious. I may go back to FTC if I see alot of affinity and zoo.

Staples in the sideboard are Hooting Mandrils, and probably 1-2 ways to kill Goyf, Skite, Tasigur (my prefered is dismember), some artifact hate, and maybe a couple of protection effects.
