Why Adaptive Automaton and Phyrexian Metamorph? Unlike cards with changeling, neither counts as knights in the graveyard and thus can't be cast from there with Haakon.
Because he is only running 2 Haakons at the moment. Hell, even if he runs 4, that doesn't mean he will 'always' be playing knights from his GY.
Even still, running 8 Knight Exemplar's in a knight deck is never a bad thing.
Automaton is just another lord, who also becomes indestructible.
I'd rather have my knights stay on the table than play in the graveyard - if at all possible.
Also, much easier to play Knights from your GY via Zombie Infest. if Haakon is indestructible and not going anywhere any time soon...
Pontiff and Screecher already have extort - but the pontiffs grant an extra extort ability on each other creature you control..
so basically:
Pontiff 1: has extort and extort
Pontiff 2: has extort and extort
Screecher: has extort and extort and extort
Skulk 1: has extort and extort
Skulk 2: has extort and extort
Skulk 3: has extort and extort
13 extort triggers - provided you have the mana for all 13 triggers, and the mana to cast the initial spell, triggering all of the extorts.
first, you activate Avizoa's boost, skipping your next untap; then you activate the Chronatog's boost, skipping your next turn entirely- is how I see it happening without messing with the rules.
10/4/2004 You skip the next untap step that you are not skipping for any other reason. In other words, the skips save up until you skip as many as required.
Skipping your turn via Tog is still skipping your untap for "any other reason" -
The untap step you would have to 'skip' is during the turn after the entire turn you have just skipped.
I wasn't disputing when the +2/+2 would be applied - I read your post as though you were saying the 'untap skip' would be irrelevant since the next turn would also be skipped - that's all.
consider Avizoa. since you're skipping your next turn, than why not skip your next untap?
also, Energy Storm to protect you, since you'd be skipping four turns- you needn't worry about the Cumulative Upkeep. alternative being Solitary Confinement.
if you're worried about draw Meditate would fit in theme.
one post-Onslaught card worth considering: Eater of Days
Are you sure that's how Avizoa works?
I would think it would just trigger on the next untap step you would actually have, not necessarily if it would be on the next turn that you have also skipped..

To me, skipping your whole turn refers to the first part of the ruling on the card.
I'm no real rules lawyer but I'm 90% sure that the arch works on gods because they count as creatures in your hand.
That is correct.
It's not until they hit the battlefield that the devotion requirement comes online and checks if it's an actual creature or not. In your hand, library, and gy though - it's both.
Scroll Rack + Land Tax
Entreat the Angels
If so, you are going to give yourself quite the handicap without using some of the newer sets...

You are correct - it is not legal in modern.
Unless the FTV: 20 cards are legal? I'm not for sure - don't play much sanctioned formats myself.

Why?
Grave Pact was just way too strong with the deck. Noxious offers some control, but not nearly as
powerfuloppressive.I assure you, as someone who's used it, GP is very helpful. Very.
If you are running 2, you will want to run 4.

Nip Gwyllion
Edge of the Divinity
Souls of the Faultless
For that spot, I'd rather see Luminarch Ascension.
