Perplexing Chimera and Gruul Charm's second mode work pretty well together.

It might fit into a Rosheen Meanderer EDH deck?

Chimera plus Nivmagus Elemental can effectively counter a verdict.

mutavault is not played in devotion decks so it's relevance is not important. reason why this is better is it gets rid of a creature and damages a player. you don't even have to kill the creature with the same spell. so it also deals 5 damage in total and now because of you we are going back in circles. its not about what its but the difference in toughness.*sigh* it's like arguing with a four year old because we keep coming back to points that I have already disproven or are easily disproven, you have no case. next meta would be a better time to rethink the effectiveness of strike

Dude, I haven't been able to understand any of your posts. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I legitimately can not understand the points you are trying to make, barring of course your attempts at insulting redeyesblackgamer, I understood those clearly.

Lightning strike will never be a dead card. You can always dome. Without a meta LS is easily superior, and Searing blood will be sideboard material at best. Then, considering any particular meta, strike is maindeck and blood is sideboard again. Strike is far more useful game one as removal. If you find your opponent to be running a lot of 2 toughness creatures, side in searing blood. Bam, your removal just got some reach stapled to it.

Edit: strike acts as removal OR reach, and blood is only superior if your opponent is running a high density of 2 toughness creatures. If your local meta is creature heavy, then maybe blood is the better choice.

I love mill, and after being blatantly slapped in the face by wotc and that piece of junk Mirko Vosk, this seems like a step in the right direction for mill creatures.

A lot of people are callling spirit a hate bear, but doesn't it need to be a 2/2 for 2 cmc to be a "bear"?

They spoil all 4 other minor gods in the first week, but still no blue black god. Thanks a lot Obama.

A lot of people, myself included, don't want Phenax to be mill, apparently. I think this is due to mill creatures being nerfed in general. If Phenax could walk the line between weak and broken, I would welcome the god of mill.

I'm very curious whether Xenagos will end the block having lost his divinity, or if he'll planeswalk away with his godhood intact, going off to find some other world to rule over unimpeded. That could make for an interesting new villain for the Magic rogues gallery.

Even if he does go back to being mortal, that taste of godhood could leave him craving that kind of power again... and, predictably, make him an easy pawn for a certain dragon.

Yeah, maybe Bolas will use Xenagos to absorb the power of the eldrazi and use it to fight the Phyrexians. /sarcasm

Why does everything need to get tied back to bolas with you people?

GW is getting the shaft pretty hard recently. Granted they did get VoR, but I'm referring to Karametra, Emara Tandris, and being the last two color combo to get a walker.

Unleashing a creature is a risk to begin with. This just makes it more risky. I really don't see what's so confusing about this card. Vaporkin in your deck is also a slight risk. There's instant speed removal that can hit it during combat, removal available to red, black, and blue. It's not that difficult to understand.

Explain to me how Selesnya is shorthand for GW. It's quite a bit easier to type with the WUBRG code than it is to type the names of guilds or shards.

That's cute that the mods were wrong and everything about the kiora/eldrazi connection, but I am personally sick of the speculation concerning a connection between the three Big Bads; bolas, phyrexia, and the eldrazi. The ONLY connection is Tezzeret and that is a weak connection. To me, a connection between bolas and the eldrazi is the epitome of baseless speculation. No one "snaps their fingers" at the eldrazi.
