Basically, 2/1's for R are good for constructed (and a vanilla one would kinda just be weak), but would be too strong at common or uncommon for limited because of red's burn. But a plain 2/1 for R is too simple/weak as a rare. So you end up with them making 2/1's with upside at rare and mythic, but none at common or uncommon, which is the only spot where a vanilla one would make sense. Teysa will trigger modular twice, and each modular trigger will put the same number of counters on whatever you target. So effectively, Teysa (and similar effects) will double the number of counters you get off modular.Once the modular card is in the graveyard, the counters fall off of it anyways, before the modular ability goes on the stack. Obviously not a hard lock, since Teferi is vulnerable to hasty dudes and limited in how often he can bounce the enchantment, and any enchantment removal brings them back immediately, but it is definitely something to be aware of.Theoretically, with a large enough number of creatures (I think 5?), Posted in: The Rumor Mill
