Exiling an attacking white creature was what I was expecting for Gideon's defeat. Wasn't sure if it would have the blocking creature clause as well, but adds a little more utility to this card. And that gaining five life isn't something to scoff at when it happens.
Seems pretty good sideboard stuff to me.
1 mana creature exile. Semi-conditional seems playable in standard.
This sux. I enjoy spoilers during spoilers week, but in the past month there has been a lot of leak way ahead of time, I am not comfortable with this. Excitement should come gradually, not in an impact, and it is criminal to expose cards against WotC's willing.
EDIT: Can't tell any of you to do this but... I'm going to stop reading about Ixalan until it's their time to shine. I am not interested in supporting someone who stole a whole sheet of unreleased cards.
A theft is criminal, but the pictures generally would only be copyright infringement which almost is always a civil issue. Once the cat is out of the bag I don't see much purpose in ignoring it. It honestly does not hurt wizards that much. However, the people this does affect are 3rd party partners that use spoilers that WOTC gives them to write a story/something-else to drive people to their content.
I would be surprised if some one is jailed for this. Though as it is bigger than Rancorred Elf getting sent the playtest stickers for the Time spiral Timeshifted cards, if this person is in a jursiction that WOTC can reach they are going to get sued from here to hell and back again.
About the only way that they could avoid bankruptcy would be to be very specific about how they got hold of this sheet of foils and if they are the same person responsible for leaking the last page of foils how they got that one.
WOTC are not going to be happy that they have massive holes somewhere in their supply chain.
If I was that person I would hope that bar-code at top is not linked to any identifying information. Like print time ect... So it could be cross referenced with video. I have no doubt it was stolen.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I think I am going to avoid anything Ixalan until the official spoiler season begins. If you care at all about M:TG, you'd do the same. A small handful of cards builds hype, but that many, this early is not fun, at all.
Still could be great commons, and uncommon. Cards like fatal push happen.
Or, you can both care about MTG but not drink the "hype" Kool-Aid, and think that the health of the game is dependent on the quality of the gameplay, not free marketing generated by spoiler season.

If there's an obvious explanation I'm missing plz explain away, but I clearly see a Planeswalker... since mythics are twice as rare are regular rares, shouldn't either
A) The mythics have their own sheet
or
B) Each rare should show up twice one the sheet if each mythic shows up once?
The rares do repeat on the sheet the mythics don't.
Sorcerous Spyglass's hand-peeking clause gives it one practical edge over Pithing Needle--it's finally fetchland LD on a rock that actually works! Although anyone paranoid can crack all their fetches on the battlefield in response to either rock, you don't need to guess (anywhere near as hard) which fetches to name with Sorcerous Spyglass, which means you have a greater chance of sniping fetchlands your opponent has in his/her hand but hasn't played yet.
Sorcerous Spyglass also gives an extra opportunity for Lantern Control to peek at its opponent's hand to map out which cards to prioritize milling, which might be enough for it to displace one Pithing Needle in that deck.
Like I said it just gives all the info. Less skill testing in my opinion.
Squee's Embrace I have always loved this card. The art is done by Rebecca Guay and its one of the few cards with art of an actual hug/embrace. It buffs your creature and gives them squee's ability in a way making it harder too get 2 for oned by your opponent. Oh did I also mention it references Squee?

I am more annoyed seeing a vehicle on that sheet. Although, I don't like planeswalker cards either.
