How do you guys feel about copper gnomes? I've seen in a list of a dear friend, and on the paper they look impressive.

It shreds their hand apart, leaving you the abilty to kill with Flayer+Grave Troll or Flame Kin. I would actually cut the Flayer in place of FKZ because it requires less spells to cast (1 Dread Return as opposed to 2) and can actually come up sooner than Kelpie can.

Yes but it requires to load up the bridge density in the gyard. Because you need a s**tload of zombies for a FKZ kill.

Less (chained) spells but more creatures. This strategies is really susceptible to echoing truth (i know, it's a random card which can hit even the other combo, but... Who knows) or a random creature kill to exile our bridges.

The minimum amount of bridges is two, then we can start the aggro route with the ichorids eating even our "lesser" dredger to crank up the zombies count.

    Let's get down to numbers.
Our bridge food is made of: ichorids, nether shadows and narcomoebas.
The latter, if it's in our opening 7, sucks like hell because she's not going to generate zombies.
The other two are strictly bonded to some conditions.

If we can't get a consistent stream of bodies, it's hard to win.
    So.. Numbers!

Flame Kin Zealot (Stylish) Red Kill
2 bridges in the GY, 1 dread return, 3 creatures on the table.

    3x2 is 6, zombies are 2/2 so, 6x2=12. Buffed by the zealot they're 12+6= 18 and + the zealot himself is 21.

    Which is too low.
    We need consistence, right?
So.. We need, at least, another body on the battlefield. Which is far more common than a third bridge in the yard.

24 damages.. Assuming that the opponent is a "standard" legacy player and has cracked a copule of fetchlands and has some blockers.

    Dirty Purple Combo Kill
X numbers of bridges in the Gyard, 2 dread return, 1 Flayer, 3 random creatures on the table.

This is the "unrestricted" (speaking of creatures) kill.
Because it works whit every kind of combination of creatures on the board (except of 3 tokens).

Just GRAB THAT FLAYER AND SHOOT 'EM WITH YOUR LAZER.

    Easy peasy

Ok guys, point me out the corrections. And sorry for the wall of text.

Oracle text says Nether Shadow is beginning of upkeep.

Since you control both of them you can stackthem (or all of three) in the order you like. So you can go (from top to bottom) the tabernacle, then the shadow(s) and the ichorid(s).

Another side note: Disrupting shoal shines when you pitch narcomoeba from hand countering opponent's rest in peace.
Or if you wanna be a true j*rk you can pitch Force of Will to disrupting shoal countering opponent's force of will Grin Grin Grin

@RedKid If I go "all in" with the 8 standard counters (FOW and Shoal) i'm up to 16 blue cards in the deck, going to 20 when i add the traps too.
My biggest problem G1 is deathrite shaman (as you can see from the MD Sickening Shoal). After sideboard more problems come in in form of heavy graveyard hate.
That's why i've added 12 counters in the sideboard. I've won plenty of matches casting force of will on the opponent Rest In Peace.
We're relying on probabilities and luck of drawing the correct answer in our first 7, because no one likes giving away free time walk to the opponent.

As for the GB'S life payment: if you're fast enough you can simply "i pay 14 and i win" dredging the cards you need and then draw the rest, avoiding the auto loss from milling yourself.

If you're low on life, you can "just" draw 7 and dredging like a b***h digging for the kill.
He's useful even on the aggro role of the deck, especially when you face some leyline's shenanigans.

Side note: if you resurrect a nether shadow/ichorid when facing The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale the card survives his upkeep cost.
The next upkeep you'll sacrifice him and let the zombies survive another turn.

Actually i'm running the deck as following:

The sideboard slots are dedicated to exploiting opponent's graveyard hate strategies. Notice the lacking of the SPY, simply because if they extirpates your dread returns... You're gone.

Griselbrand offers a really nice "mill your own deck" ability at the same time being a lovely 7/7 flying lifelink.

I've been using him to win games, not relying as usual on the combo.

Feel free to point me out on everything guys, your opinions are much appreciated Grin

And nobody ever considered stopping these elves to interrupt your attacks? Peacekeeper? Something? Lets combo, and stop the fight?
I think, the major glory of D&T its a distruption on his base. The base of any deck pass by lands. But elves no. So, Laissez-faire until they have a finisher and ''Kaboom'' fog or stasis effect?

But peacekeeper can't be tutored, and as a 1-of in the sideboard seems underperforming to me.

    Re: Spirit of the Labyrinth

    4 Mother of Runes
    4 Phyrexian Revoker
    2 Spirit of the Labyrinth
    4 Thalia, Guardian of Thraben
    4 Stoneforge Mystic
    3 Serra Avenger
    3 Flickerwisp
    2 Brimaz, King of Oreskos

By adding Spirit in place of Mindcensor you lower the overall curve of the deck. Going back to 22 lands is very possible, allowing for a 3rd Spirit main if it proves good enough, which I think it will.

I quote you, but with a new legend coming in the deck, i'll go up to 4 karakas.
I think that the Lion King can shift edict-effects matchups in our favor, because of the token effect.

As for the spirit, it's a beater. A huge one, but it dies to everything, even enchantment hate.
BUT I'll laugh as loud as i can after vial it in in response of a brainstorm.

BTW, thanks Born of the Gods for bringing us some new good cards for our beloved deck.

what about sapphire charm? Seems good to me, because it can act as a pseudo-removal, can un-flip delver or remove any counter from permanents.
The fly ability seems also good for pushing some more damages.

I'm gonna bring the exact BarbedBlightning same list, but with one eiganjo castle because punishing fire is a thing in my local area and with two mindcensor in the sideboard, because elves is a thing too. I will write a report on Sunday, as soon as I've finished Smile

Is land destruction that bad? I mean, you're a ramp/greedy deck who has in play 25 lands.. it seems quite obvious to me to push the cataclysm button or pull the land destruction lever.

I receive bad words every time I do that. I mean, it's a symmetrical LD, I get punished but you too.. so what's the problem?

Also ratchet bomb seems really Good against flipped delvers and 'mancer tokens. Maybe the canonist can stop them from instant and sorcery abuse. Thoughts?
