I dont need to play a deck to realize how weak it is,I know when a deck can´t perform. I tried to build it and come up with a decent list, ultimately i realized the problems with a potential build and discard it.

When i say tiers i mean like its used in all other games in terms of power, this deck is weak enough that there is no reaso to play this deck over anythign else in any kind of metagame, that is a tier 4 deck.. I dont think this deck beats 4color rally or dark jeskai any more than many other options out there (and i dont even buy this deck beat those decks badly)

It is really helping, because i assume this thread exist because competitive players want to see if there is a build that is really competitive. I came here to explain why such decklist should not exist and should just move on.

This is not a statement against brews, ive made part of my income for almost 20 years playing magic, most of it on magic online, playing Brew aggro builds (mostly W based). In fact thats why im posting here, because this is the kind of deck that i would look to see if there is potential. i did look at it, spend time, and came to the conclusion that this deck, can´t be competitive with this cardpool for the reasons i stated.

If you want to play W aggro decks which is my speciality, Warrior deck, Mono white gideon, Esper aggro, are all decks that have a lot more potential and are stronger than this one.

It´s possible that there is an Ally decklist out there that is very strong and nobody figured out yet, but i know whatever that list is, is not an equipment based one.

They are still terrible equipment, the synergy isnt strong enough to compensate the terrible efficiency of those equips.

if you could just play 1ofs those equips because you had a reliable tutor like stoneforge mystic it would be different. Stoneforge acolyte needs several equips , and the 2 mana one needs to hit.

if you are using 8 slots in trash equipment like bone saw and captain claws, you dont have a winning deck.

Unless there are coming non trash equips in the next block, equipment decks are going to remain tier 4 fringe brews. (or potentially better equipment creature that tutors, the stoneforge acolyte should look the entire deck to be playable, and then you had a deck, but no, it just loos top 4....)

The real problem with equip decks is that current equips are awfull. im sure if there were decent equip there could be a competitive equip deck.

I´m looking for the math on the odds of hitting each landdrop based on the number of lands in your deck with both 6 and 7 card hands.

I know there are plenty around, but they have always the same problem they do not account for mulligan.
That is they tell you the odds to hit the 4th land drop based on a completly random hand. But that is unrealistic, because you will never keep a 0 or 1 lander. I know the odds of having a 0 or 1 lander based on the number of lands.
What im looking for is the odds of hitting your land drops, considering that you are never keeping a 0 or 1 land hand.
Is there such article? I know frank karsten article to create colored mana base, which is amazing, and he has one for mana curves.
But I´m looking for odds table, accounting for mulligan, which surprising seems impossible to find.

Ok, I´m not sure if the deck called esper tokens qualifies as BW control or not. But here is the thing.

I want to create a 60 card deck (i say that to not account for sideboard) that is the optimal vs Mardu or mardu green.

So lets imagine you have to play pro tour standard next week and you need to start your 60 card deck with this:

25 lands that supports 1BB 1WW and 1U, and has lots of fetchlands

    4x Secure the wastes

4x Gideon/Sorin (you choose, you can add more if you want 8x if you want, but you need to at least contain 4 of any combination of those two)

That´s it, based on that add the 27 remaining cards you want to win that pro tour. You will only face all the varieties of mardu/mardu green. You have no sideboard, they do.

You are free to add extremly situation cards that only work vs mardu green.

You are free to go wild, if you want make a Permission deck with 4x ojutai command and 4x disdainfull stroke or go full aggro with 27 wennie creatures.

If its really worthwhile the mana base can support 3R or 3G

    Help?

According to this article, RG tron only beats jund 60% of the time

    http://www.mtggoldfish.com/articles/28k-games-of-modern-analyzed

if this is true, then it sucks dedicating 60 cards to beat a deck and getting 60% of winrate is a total failure.

It seems to me an anafenza company deck with all the creatures that make 2x1 (eternal witness, Finks, voice) seems the best plan to me?

If you had to create a deck for a tournament where the only deck you will face is jund, what would be the 60 cards you would run?

you will find this funny, specially with current raise of infect and amulet bloom, but Soul sisters. I think SS Junk, twin and burn matchups to be oustanding, and is easy to build a sb to crush affinity. Sadly infect and bloom are horrible. I think SS was unplayable before because Scapeshift and Pod made it unplayable, but now the coast is clear, so im SS unless infect and bloom become too big.

Went 4-0 today in a Daily with this list:

    4 Lord of Atlantis
    4 Silvergill Adept
    4 Cursecatcher
    4 Æther Vial
4 Master of the Pearl Trident
    4 Master of Waves
    4 Tidebinder Mage
    2 Kira, Great Glass-Spinner
    4 Spreading Seas
    4 Dismember
    2 Relic of Progenitus
    13 Island
    4 Mutavault
    1 Cavern of Souls
1 Minamo, School at Water's Edge
1 Oboro, Palace in the Clouds

    Sideboard
    2 Merrow Reejerey
    4 Spell Pierce
    2 Swan Song
    4 Tectonic Edge
    3 Chalice of the Void

Faced 2x Abzan, 1 Affinity, 1 Matyr of Sands.

I have video footage but my computer is taking forever to process them and I want to go to sleep. I'll upload them to youtube when I wake up.

I decided to trust you and took your deck, changed 2 merrow for 2 hurkrecall, removed a spreading seas for 1 thassa, and gave it a first go for merfolk since FRF, and went 4-0 vs Scapeshift, Burn, D&T and ad naseum
Maybe the deck is not terrible in the new metagame, but i dodged the big guys so who knows, but of course i will try again.

Yes I think Silvergil is understimated, but is the best creature of the deck 2/1 draw a card is close to broken imo. specially when you can make it gain islandwalk and +1/+1. Vial is kind of broken, and Personally I think master of wave is kind of broken with the right support.
But while it doesn´t haw great raw power, the level of synergy of the deck is very very high, and that allows the deck to be good.
