It only has one loyalty ability, with activation cost 0. But the top ability adds 2, the 2nd subtracts 1, the 3rd subtracts 2, and the last one adds 1, as indicated by the loyalty symbols within the effect (ala Carth the Lion).
I understand that each ability + - - and +. But how do people know what number it is? The symbol look the same to me (unless I miss seeing some numbers on the symbol). It's just dice-ish symbol with + or - symbol on it.
here ya go Monkey, the + & or - # is in the weird little box w/ the pointed section @ the top or the bottom depending on if you tick the loyalty up or or tick it down
Copter is a known developmental mistake and this card at 2 would be much better…
i just dont think thats necessarily true SL. dont get me wrong 2 mana for a 2/2 artifact duder & a 3/1 flying vehicle w/ crew 2 is fantastic! however a 2 mana 3/3 flying vehicle w/ crew 1 that may loot whenever its on offense or defense is @ least equally fantastic & i would argue an even better card in practice once you start considering the potential of the cards it may draw you & it doesnt die to some random 1/1 flying token either
The random selection probably makes this a lot weaker than it seems. I would be surprised if it's actually more powerful than Ajani Vengeant, which has always been a pretty nasty card with its mana-denial +1.
But it's a powerful enough card that it's playable for anybody who wants to try a little zany chaos. There are those who would first pick this specifically because it's chaotic.
Specifically, rolling a 3 has both the highest ceiling and lowest floor. It's very easy to whiff with an empty graveyard.
I think this is a lot stronger than Ajani, I'd definitely swap out Ajani for Comet if I were into un cards. All of Comet's modes are extremely powerful. Rolling a 3 can whiff, but that's only about a 16.6% chance. While Ajani has the benefit of selecting what it needs when it needs it, the higher loyalty count and just sheer power of Comet doing something really good at about 83.3% of the time makes this much better, IMO.
& I’d say the whiff % on the roll 3 is actually even less than that, bc how often is ur GY empty by the time ur casting a 4 drop…?
i actually dont think that would be that broken SL, i mean honestly, a 2 mana 3/1 flying vehicle w/ crew 2 that makes a 2/2 black warrior artifact creature doesnt seem that crazy man. i mean sure it doesnt suck, but its no umezawa's jitte, sol ring, library of alexandria, black lotus or ancestral recall
hell oona's prowler used to be a staple not that too many yrs ago
For a vintage cube perhaps, but you should consider other constructed format, and clearly it would be broken in those.
I will try this card tho, not sure it will stay, it's a bit hard to find room at 450.
as opposed to a 2 mana 3/3 flying vehicle with crew 1 that draws a card on attacks or blocks BM? WotC doesn’t really have the greatest track record for balancing cards for formats; just saying
I like this card, but it might be too expensive at 3 mana. I am very curious how it tests though.
god i know rite! why couldnt this been 2 mana or something like pay some amount of life in addition to the 2
Because it would be silly broken?

Clearly a strong card. I was not that hyped to includes some 40K cards. But I always loved this Tyranid characters, and overall fits good enough for me flavor wise (unlike a space marine).
@ B_O - exactly this, in a 40 card deck, you cud run a 1 of swamp (if you missed out on a dual) & any other type of fetch land & easily play both sides of lingering souls. i was feeling the same way about this new green card
idk if thats that big a deal but fair point. "overrepresented" mite be a bit of a stretch but i hear you. based on the makeup of ur cubes g/b guild i dont think its going to rocking any boats if you slotted it in over Wilt. no trophy, decay, or pulse
Golgari (12)
Darkbore Pathway
Darkmoss Bridge
Llanowar Wastes
Nurturing Peatland
Overgrown Tomb
Verdant Catacombs
Deathrite Shaman
Elves of Deep Shadow
Golgari Signet
Talisman of Resilience
Grist, the Hunger Tide
Vraska, Golgari Queen
B_O is that really necessary? i think it all comes down to if you value the cycling of Wilt more than the "exile" clause of this new card right? & if the drafter just happens to be in black or feels like they have enuff fixing that they can possibly hit the "kicker" clause, then the rest is gravy, yes?
this is an excellent 1 drop for black. it scales, can provide card advantage, can trade up, is a human for when it matters (its @ least a relevant tribe). i'd put it up there w/ bloodsoaked champion, gravecrawler & the oft maligned here, knight of the ebon legion (this card does SO much work in black aggro, its not even funny!)

hahaha, very clever BM
i'd say its 3rd best, just b/c its more flexible & easier to cast; allowing it to go into more decks than say sneak attack
