Here at São José dos Campos, we were about 35 thousand people blocking one of the most important roads in the entire country. We managed to get the bus fee lowered twice, but it's still abusive (US$1.50 in contrast with $375 minimum wage), corruption is rampant within every section of the government, we have to work approximately 3 months and a half in a year just to pay taxes while healthcare and education are shame worthy.
Every month I need to get injected with ibuprofen in order to alleviate the excruciating pain I experience during my period. Every month I have to stay in line for 3+ hours at the emergency ready corridor, bashing my head against the wall so I can endure the pain. I also get sore throats easily and need to get prescriptions regularly. Last time a doctor refused to sign a medical certificate after I went to the hospital due to a sore throat that lost me my voice and I wasn't able to answer the phone at work because of that. I was turned down by the receptionist at another public hospital after I showed up there 5 minutes BEFORE my consultation with the gyno. I had to schedule another one with a private gyno because I can't afford to lose any more time, and I might have to spend $400+/month treating this disease of mine because they don't supply these meds. The problem is that I don't have 400 bucks to spend every month, and, because of it, I might end up being unable to bear children.
This guy ties with Velinov for my favorite artist. Most of his art, and the best up until now, are U and B, my favorite colors. I can't die without having a card signed by him.
I avoid playing multiplayer MTG like the plague for the sole reason of being focused by everybody every single match, no matter how many players there are. It's not fun to have a target painted on my forehead just because I have a deck I can pilot consistently. Last time they did this I just got up, gathered my cards, put them back in their deckbox and walked away. Where's the fun in being focused out of actually playing the game? And I don't have any other decks to play.. so I just stick to single player and that's about it. At least, when playing against a single player, I feel I'm playing on equal grounds, with just one person bashing me, as opposed to 2~5 just because there's a Wurmcoil Engine somewhere in the deck and they don't want to face it. Seriously.

Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, put a 1/1 red Elemental creature token onto the battlefield.
Immolation is the sincerest form of flattery.
2/1
One of the cards spoiled for M14. It's a 2/1, but it's a mini Talrand, Sky Summoner nevertheless. Burn, create token. Counter, create token. Draw spell, create token.
I'm 19, but most of my friends who play are in their mid-late 20's and early 30's.
One of them has a 2 year old little girl who looks and acts just like me. I already told him he'll be screwed in about 10 years. lol
But I'm not talking about right now, I'm talking about next Standard. We still don't know if the mana base will stay this good. Wizards has already hinted at checklands not being reprinted in M14. We don't know if we will still have Farseek. I know that right now it would be madness not to run a multicolored deck, because the mana base is insane. (Which I don't think is good for the game - mana bases should NOT be so easy to build without some kind of hate, be it LD or Blood Moon)
I was just passing through some of Jesper Myrfors's card arts and I noticed something... Is it just me or is the art for Ifh-Bíff Efreet the exact same of Serendib Efreet? Could this be a misprint or was it intentional?
Doom Blade, one of the most iconic black removal cards, is getting back after Wizards finally lost the fear of Snapcaster Mage. Liliana's Reaver seems pretty strong in that it has somewhat of a built-in Sword. Lord of the Void is a pretty strong carry creature as well.
I'in a world of high IQ magic players Alms Beast would be a force and a staple in all formats.
I scored 187 on an IQ test conducted by a psychologist and I think Alms Beast is absolute crap outside of limited. A 6/6 body with nothing but a drawback on its lack of evasion SUCKS.
Isn't that the only argument people can use though?
If they can't use the old "Dies to removal" Then they use "Well it doesn't impact the board."
Well, it's just that everyone's getting used to spells being stapled onto creatures now. If it doesn't have an ETB trigger, it's not "good".
I think Aetherling is awesome. The only problem is that his home is being shunned by R&D. Control decks that want him are nowhere near tier 1. Aggro decks don't want him because he's too mana intensive. I think they did this in an attempt to mitigate the frustration they've caused to blue players with power creep, but to no avail because control isn't a thing right now. So much for control actually being the most interactive archetype of all.
I'd stop making hexproof a thing, reverse this trend of "can't be countered" and cut down on creature dominance.
Creature power creep is getting ridiculous. Whenever I think that this game can't be dumbed down any further, Wizards surprises me again. Which is why I vowed never to play in a format where "Hey momma look I can play competitive Magic, look look, T1 Champion of the Parish, T2 Burning-Tree Emissary into Lightning Mauler, swing for 7! Look momma I'm SOOOOOOOOOOO smart! But it doesn't end here! Look look look, T3 Thatcher Revolt, swing for 13, I just defeated my opponent in 3 turns! I'm so awesome! This will prove my psychiatrist wrong when he said I had an IQ of 10!".
Therefore, I want the pendulum to swing back to noncreature/planeswalker's favor again.
The abolition of the RL would certainly give me a hand into playing Legacy, because all I want is to hit Standard's and Modern's faces with my laptop right now.
During a match at Dragon's Maze prerelease, I was getting roflstomped by an army of creatures and I didn't have any removal in my hand. So I breathed very deep and put my hand on the top of my deck. I started sweating as I muttered, "Please, Supreme Verdict, be here". My friends who were watching felt my tension. And I drew the card of the turn. Supreme Verdict. I screamed in joy.
I was expecting for standard to get less annoying with ISD rotating. I'm so naive. It's just bad that I might get kicked out of my playgroup for hating standard's ****ing guts and getting more and more inclined to play legacy/EDH instead.
