Initial reaction: No Champion of Parish in a Human Deck!?!?
Answer: Burning-Tree Emissary is so good it's worth it to slot in Experiment One in place of Champion of Parish.
You needed to justify not adding white, and didnt justify not having Huntmaster of the Fells?! :-P
Thragtusk is good, but i would need to up the mana count. I feel like this deck is trying to open explosively and beat them to death before they can stabalize, maybe thrag plus 2 mana in the sideboard for aggro. What else would I want in the board? dispel?
Which charm would be better? Golgari or dimir to countrract wrath? Maybe dimir because it can counter exile wrathz and I think this deck can handle supreme verdict well enough with experiments and undying.
Any tips would be appriciated.
Thragtusk isnt an agro card imo. He is better for midrange stabilization. I prefer deadbridge goliath or wolfir silverheart for agro. I think simic charm is best for red agro, dimir charm is better for you against black/green agro maybe, golgari charm against control. I dont think Corpsejack Menace is going to be as effective as you expect it will be. He really comes in too late to double most of the evolves. But if it works, it would be awesome so it is definitely worth a try.
Deadbridge Goliath. Only cost 4 to come out. Comes in as 7/7 with MB. If it dies, you can make MB a 7/9 or use on Fathom Mage which allows you to draw 5 cards. Such an nice midrange combo here, :).
Scenario is I have Master Biomancer in the field, and then I resolve Fathom Mage. Does my opponents have any chance to kill the mage to stop me from drawing cards? or will I draw regardless of it getting killed?
The draw card trigger is already on the stack by the time the player can target the mage.
The Biomancer is one of those cards that don't strike me as powerful at first, so it HAS to be good (at least thats how it usually is with my evaluations). If they are affordable Im buying a playset, just to be on the safe side.
That said, its immune to ultimate price and abrupt decay, has relevant types and is in ramp colors. I assume it will find a home, at the latest when innistrad rotates. Its also pretty cool in EDH for persist shenanigans and powering up a load of tokens. What I find really odd is the mutant addition, but well I guess its just for flavors sake.
btw, hat happens if I cast Zegana with him on the field? Can I stack the triggers, so Im able to draw 2 additional cards? That would be pretty sweet.
