I have an honest question for you. How old are you?

ageism! younger people are inferior to old? or other way round? boy oh boy you're lucky you dont work at WOTC cause you would get fired so fast! Wink

I’m going to go ahead and assume that you’re an edgy teenager who’s trying out a persona that you picked up online.

Are you seriously suggesting that everyone receives equal treatment just because the law says so, or are you being sarcastic?

That’s a common tactic these days among the hateful. Say awful things about a group of people that are different, then say you’ve done nothing wrong and aren’t a bigot because the law protects everyone equally. A lot of Trump supporters say Trump isn’t bigoted because the law protects everyone equally. It’s intentionally dishonest, obviously.

Hopefully a new multi-colored version of Ixidor. I really wouldn't mind if its just the same as Ixidor, Reality Sculptor version but its got extra colors.

I’ve wanted some Ixidor love ever since I read the novels for that block and then realized his card was kinda bad.

On one hand it will result in people catching more bad interactions among card synergies. On the other hand, this could result in too many cooks. Only time will tell how the team doubling in size will actually affect the game.

Yeah, I agree. We could see an improvement (read:consistency) in game design or they’re setting themselves up for a massive screwup on epic proportions.

But the reality I fear is we’ll see Hasbro push harder for more “elitist” products. More $10 packs. More severely limited exclusives. Doubling the team won’t go towards what we have now. Those resources will go towards the higher end products for the whales.

Which is fine I guess. We’re already seen playable cards that don’t have a version in regular packs so how much longer before they put the next Nexus only in a $10 whale pack? Rolleyes

Those premium products don’t require a larger staff to produce since they’re mostly reprints put in new packaging. We’re likely looking at the beginning of a more constant bombardment of MTG products. More supplemental products to support more formats, more tie-in products to appeal to broader audiences(like collectibles and toys), and more “synergy” between paper and Arena. The new Brawl decks, the sudden support for Pauper and current MTG devs talking about Oathbreaker is what makes me think more supplemental products are coming.

This is the one guy that has the word "Anarch" in one of his card's titles.
This guy is a insult to true anarchists and I'm just glad he bited.
Brainless idiot. You had the fate you deserve.

You say that like all anarchists aren’t inherently stupid.

That expression... Is the same you can see on serial killers / supervillains in movies...
Doesn't really fit Gideon, unless he is being corrupted by the blackblade.

He really does look creepy, like he boned them all to death.

"I didn't buy Apple stock 20 years ago, before they rise in price, so the company should release them cheap and in bulk to the public, that way everyone could have them."

Some people managed to get lucky and bought some old cards way ahead of time, and justly rewarded for their timing and decision. I don't mind reprints, but I don't see the need to want them, to the point of being acidic towards the game company.

    ------

People should really ask themselves: 1) Why do I need $100+ cards in my deck, in a format that's meant to be casual? 2) Do I require a $100 card in my deck to make it good or perhaps I just need better deck-building?

MtG in general is not an expensive game, even staples in most formats are affordable to have multiple copies. The only ones that are ridiculously expensive are the ones that go into Legacy/Classic environment, most of those are overpowered cards anyway, degenerating to a healthy game. If a person thinks s/he needs Mishra's Workshop to make their artifact deck work, then the person should REALLY consider their mentality and skills, not the card price.

One ought to differentiate desire and necessity.

This borders on satire, bro. There’s literally not a single necessary card. This is a game played as a hobby so none of it is necessary.

I seriously don't understand why so many people want to see wizards kill off a huge swath of there most popular intellectual property. I can dig a few irrelevant characters getting killed off. It seems better to finish the Bolas plot line and diversify and fill out the characters they already have and flesh them out into something interesting. Maybe a main gatewatch character who doesn't have any meaningful story left could die. It's also most likely not going to be Jace. He is one of the only main gatewatch characters who's home plane we haven't visited yet and that's at least one story I feel we will see before he gets the axe. They went through the trouble of getting his memory back after all! Probably not going to kill off Bolas either. Good villains never get killed off for good. Pretty sure that might be considered bad story telling. Me personally I don't have a problem any current walker, I'd hate to see a bunch of them killed off at the moment. The forum community in general are incredibly cynical and would find a way to voice displeasure at any possible twist in War of the Spark. Looking forward to war of the spark though! Teaser looks great Smile

Killing off inconsequential characters accomplishes nothing. It has no impact on the story or the consumer, making an attempt at shock value that lacks shock.
And most of the Gatewatch characters are boring as hell and haven’t gotten any more interesting over the years.
