The only way to stop them from this is to STOP BUYING THIS PRODUCT AT THIS PRICE POINT!

Players need to show fiscal discipline and refrain from spending on these. Then it will stop. Problem is 95% of the Magic Market has the backbone of an elderly Jellyfish and will talk about not buying then go right out and buy it.

The biggest problem here is that these are a limited print product. Ten per LGS at most, which means a very limited supply. You’re never going to get everyone to forgo buying this awful product. I’ll bet a lot of people here denouncing this product will buy it.

Guys I looked at the average of the enemy fetches

One of each average joe price total is $277 dollars (rounded)

So you nag one you save $115 dollars

However they still screwed up on how to get this one it’s only available at game stores and each game store can only get 10

Not to mentioned they just confirmed they have them in the line up for reprints in a supplement set outside standard so if it’s the same art as secret lair that’s another facepalm

This is faulty logic. You’re comparing this to secondary market prices. WotC claims they aren’t influenced or informed by the secondary market at all. If that were true this product would be in the $40-$50 price range. So we’re not saving $115, we’re losing at least $125.

So at least $175 for the fetchlands. That’s at least $35 per card. But they don’t even know the secondary market exists. No sir.
And they’re limiting the supply so as not to upset the secondary market price gougers. What a joke.

Could everyone please shut up about “virtue signaling” and all the other terms that act as a thin veil for you not liking women very much? If this product was all legendary male characters to celebrate Father’s Day or something none of you would have any issue with it.

As a man who loves men, I want men

Good news! You get about 90% of Magic characters!

Well that’s... weird. Treating the tentacles like independent creatures is pretty inelegant. And a giant kraken starting as 2/3 is wonky.

What a silly thing. They just arbitrarily picked a starting point instead of applying an ounce of logic for the format.

    guys, stop complaining please.

You know what you wrote makes me want to start complaining instead of stop

Complain if you like, but he's right. This is all our (customer pool at large) fault.

The entry barrier to our fun is increasing, limiting who can have fun with us. But this is just a continuation of existing trends.

And actually, charging large dollars for functionally identical game pieces is so much better than chase-mythics and tournament-staple buy-a-boxen. So while WotC are undeniably wh0res, you can't really blame them for it. Blame the johns.

So the business making the decision to price-gouge it’s customers bears no responsibility? It’s all on us, even though no one here has expressed any interest and even social media seems to be 100% against this product? Why shouldn’t we hold WotC’s lack of morals or respect for their customers against them?

I already hate those Collector Booster because of their outrageous price, but this is even worse. The value just isn’t there but neither is the collector appeal. The binder is just a binder, the 3x3 sheet is a fraction of a collector’s item, the print isn’t even worth $10, the digital stuff is fluff and the Collector Boosters don’t justify the rest of the cost. Those boosters should cost $10 max, not $30. Those premium Alara boosters were like $8.99 and those were 15 foils.

interesting that the royalty are females with feminine males, the knights are females, the nobles are females. Basically any masculine role is given to a female. What. the. ****.

I think im going to quit playing this game. I cant stand this stupid ***** theyre doing. Its really dumb and doesnt make any sense not to mention its killing us as a society.

Dude, shut up. Your pathetic insecurities have nothing to do with this FANTASY GAME and everything to do with your emotional problems and lack of intimacy with the opposite sex. Stop crapping up these threads with your deluded nonsense. If you’re so deadset on quitting Magic then do us all a favor and quit this forum as well.
