I've been really liking 2 Dark confidants in the main and 2 in the side for the grindy/removal heavy matches. But I love playing the card, so I'm very heavily biased.
I was taking a break from Bant Spirits for a month and half and playing green white value town. But man did I miss spell quelling. So I'm back at it again doing several revisions. I've cut a land since I found so many times that I was flooding. Even with the Horizon canopies I was having issues.
Nebelgast herald is fun in the deck and has won me some games I only currently use 1. I still want to test out nimble obstructionist
Has anyone been testing it?
I've removed my two phantasmal images for Nebelghast. He wins a lot of games and is hilarious against death shadow. Partnered up with Moorland Haunt and you have one frustrated opponent.
Great write up. I'm still trying to figure out my sideboard and just picked up two Engineered Explosives for the deck, seems like it was the missing piece I've needed for a while. Echoing truth was budget version of it prior.
I've been doing super solid with my bant list. (Last 8 events, 5 4-0s and 3 3-1s)
Been playing it since November and it's almost foiled out at this point. I've taken out phantasmal images and replaced them with Nebelghast Heralds. They work like sudo removal most of the time and help get Geist through most situations if needed. It started as a one of in the mainboard, but it's power can't be ignored against certain deck. I play it alongside Moorland Haunt which has been phenomenal. Things I've noticed is upping the fetch count to 10 to the deck has helped it a lot to improve top decks and my cocos, I used to run 6.
Anyways, who else is bummed on no spirit love in Amonkhet?
Do you mind posting a picture? I'm sure that looks awesome!
I realized there is no sort of sideboard guide yet so how often do you guys board out CoCo? I can see it coming out against the fast decks like Affinity/Burn and maybe Combo decks if i have many cards to bring in. Anything else i am missing?
Finally got the last noble in today. Here is some pictures of the deck. Still working on the sideboard.

I'm waiting for some cards to come in this week still, once they are in I'll share some pictures.

I've been starting to think that Ugin is somehow responsible for the streak in his hair. Ugin is a jadeish/blue and I bet the next piece of lore we get regarding Ugin waking up from his cocoon will give Sarkhan this new look along with new traits.
I've dealt with them on Ebay before and they were excellent. They accepted my best offer on a card at 20% off the other ebay listings with no troubles. Card was delivered quickly and well packaged.
Pretty hard to tell right now because of the big spike this has seen in the last couple days. Lots of people sold theres thinking they would flop, but they are selling for 180ish on ebay right now and TCG player is cleaned out.
I have feeling this could be a Book promo Jace and have an expensive price on it due to the art and scarcity. Demand for this card is pretty high, and I would personally just stick with your extra ugin for a while. We have a month or so before prices from fate start to drop, also we need to see some modern and standard events to witness as well to see where his price goes. Also I believe Ugin will be come an EDH staple and should stay at a high price. EDH players love to pimp there decks out and this might be seeking this over the foil due to its scarcity.
TLDR: hold on a tad longer to see where the card actually settles to.
And WoTC wonders why variants of The Rock always end up being the best deck in modern.
Hmm.... maybe because you ban everything else into oblivion, and the Rock is just a pile of good cards, so it's the one deck that doesn't really care about any particular ban?
Technically, I had Pod built, (I have birthing pods from standard and kept them for commander decks... everything else is basically expensive one-ofs that I also have for commander decks) but I never bothered to spent the enormous amount of time needed to really learn and master the deck because I could see this coming from a mile away. (I chose to spent my time on Junk instead, which has now payed dividends).
With every banning, it becomes more clear that WoTC has no idea how to properly manage an eternal format, and legacy's success has been more a result of their ignoring it then anything else.
I agree. I'm glad I sold a big portion of my foiled out Pod deck a month ago because I wasn't playing near as much as I should and I still feel bad for the Pod players out there.
You could say Wizards should have a watch list on cards, but after what they have done with Pod that would probably only cause more insecurity in players to get into the format. They should have banned this a long time ago before it gained the popularity they had. They don't know how to manage an eternal format.
Anyways I'd like some feedback on possible sideboard cards to consider and any other feedback. I love my bant spirits so much, I foiled out the deck a few months ago and finally have a ton of the sideboard options done as well.
I've been putting a mainboard Bant Tamiyo in the deck and have been enjoying that lately. How does Nissa do for you in the deck?
Also Good luck!

2 Kitchen Finks in the side for burn and Abzan. Kinda nice if you also play Gavony Township in your mainboard as well.
