I dont get this card. Is he able to get creatures back that died this turn when the combat has ended, if he damages a player, or is it meant for sacrificing creatures before the combat phase begin in order to get them back if he deals damage to a player?
When a card says "Equal to the mana you spend to cast it" Does that mean that if a card cost 3 CMC its X or can you tap more mana just to get X higher?
Because Commander's "home site" is mtgcommander.net, so giving them some of the big "bombs" to give out for it makes sense in their marketing strategy. Commander is sort of a player invented format, more of a "judge invented format" but I digress, that had a centralized system before WotC took direct production interest in it. The compromise was a name change, and then to just stand back and let the system continue unabashed.
I mean, probably, in another 10-20 years whenever the Rules Council system breaks down I could see WoTC having a more direct influence on the format. However, for now the "Founders" of EDH/Commander are given the golden ticket so as not to steal thunder probably. It's a marketing point of view.
Either way, it supports different communities and raises their advertising revenue since WotC's site is tied directly to MTG and other game sales. This helps to support financially other sites in their feedback cycle and create buzz for their products.
It's an old tactic, and frankly something WoTC has to do in the 21st century.
The idea is simple rebound goes well with heroic and the rebound spells can make all the heroic cards quite a big threat. Vampire's Bite is just a great combat trick that can net you cards or life. Or clear a blocker and allow for a deadly agent.
Thanks for the deck idea. Rebound actually seems really nice together with Heoric
Im thinking about making a Heroic deck for Theros but im really unsure which colours i should play
White got some awesome low costed creatures that can quickly pump themself and others
Blue got Artisan of Forms which i love since you can copy a target creature and also copy another heroic creature for instance.
Black got some really nasty Heroic creatures
Red got some aggressive Heroic creatures and in generel have some good burning spells in Theros
Green is in fact the only colour for Heroic i dont mind not using.
Atm im thinking about a WBU heroic deck but im unsure if i miss out on something good if i dont choose Red (Anax and Cymede) and if i do choose Red instead, im unsure which colour to leave. I could make a four coloured Heoric deck but that just seems extreme.
What colours do you think are the best for Heroic?
As the titel say, im wondering if Artisan of Forms can become another Heroic creature when its own heroic trigger, meaning it will suddenly have 2 Heroic abilities it can trigger?
Ranger's Guile is twice the heroic enabler that this card is. I'm more interested in protecting and beefing up my best hero than I am in playing multiple heroes.
Sure because people want to play overcosted spells to trigger Heroic...
At first i thought this card sucked because it gave the opponent the horse AND the tokens, but then i figured that the opponent gets the horse and then the opponents opponent (Which is you) now get the tokens. Sweet! I like it
Oh i thought Commander was a product made by WoTC
