I got excited for new art for Æther Storm in DoTPL 2014 and i really hope for a reprint in the core set.
Speaking of Æther Storm im thinking about making a deck with it together with Angel of Jubilation so the opponent cant pay life to destroy it. Is there some good instant, sorceries, artifact and enchantments out there, there could be good for a creature-less/very few creatures deck that worked around killing the opponent without creatures?
I really hope that there wont be any +1+1 mechanic in Theros. The mechanic is so boring and easy. I rather want something where it requires a little thinking.
Miracle, Cipher, Soulbond, Overload, Metalcraft, etc etc are some mechanic that imo is really interesting and i would love Theros to have some mechanics that required a little more than putting counters on something
Black can do life drain without White ( Drain Life )
White can't do life drain without Black. It can prevent, redirect or reverse life loss and damage...
Therefore, Life Drain is/was Black.
There have been BW life drain cards at most times, but Extort can be played by Non-B decks.
For example, now we have Syndic of Tithes, whom you could play in a mono W deck and whose ability you could pay with only White, which is a break with past abilites of White.
I see. Thats actually interesting when thinking about it that way
It does not do what you suggest either, but is the closest thing you'll ever get.
Whats wrong with sudden change? It would fit really good to a block that built around mages screwing with nature for instance (Not saying that its a good story for a block tho)
The best example from current sets is Extort: Its vampiric appeal is totally black (life drain),but then they add White, which has never had life draining abilities (only life gaining, which is a huge difference flavour wise)
But because of the life gaining dosnt it make sence then?
Recently i have been learning Magic to some of my friends and everytime i have explained what each colour is best at (Red for burn, white for life etc) i keep thinking to myself how cool it would be with a block that went out of balance colour wise.
For instance, instead of red being the aggressive colour it suddenly evolved into white or green to become more in touch with nature or maybe blue lost its control by evolving into black or red maybe even get more aggressive
I know we have multicolored cards that experiment like this but it would be kinda neat to have a block where the colours we thought we knew, suddenly changed and became something new
Sorry for asking a stupid question here but i havnt played around with that mechanic before.
Do you pay 2 mana to do both or do you pay 2 extra mana do both?

Im so looking forward to this
I can understand that it might be rude but how is that comment insulting to you in any way?

What do you think?
I see. Thanks. Seemed crazy that it would suddenly only cost 2 mana if you did both lol
Do you pay 2 mana to do both or do you pay 2 extra mana do both?
Thank you
Its reprints...It isnt really exciting is it?
