That being said, the two major suggestions I will offer is to increase your mana advantage cards and to immediately add in Cursed Totem. The Totem is the bees knees (where did this expression even come from?), the primo piece of Stax, the apple of all Stax player's eyes. Activated abilities are nearly everywhere, and being able to shut them down is very important for slowing the game down. What type of combo decks are in your playgroup? I'm willing to bet that the majority of them depend on an activated ability of a creature, somewhere along the combo line.

This is a semi-competitive Chain Veil combo deck that I put together. I want to be able to switch back and forth between a stax gameplan and being able to go for the combo win. The sideboard are some cards that I also have and could make room for. If there are any recommendations to be made for the deck, please keep them under 10$ per card if you would. Unless, its something that is absolutely essential.
I generally play casually, but I do like to win. I don't want to go too over the top with stax because I am already playing mono blue and I don't want people to hate playing against the deck. Any and all suggestions are welcome.
Going back to the original post, what about using a Karn Liberated -14 Ult and just restart the game. Warp World might work just as well. I get that the exercise was to kill the commander, but this does remove it from the field.
I think some of the most interesting generals come from the Kamigawa block. They are different and not overpowering. Horobi, Death's Wail and Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker are the two that really jump out to me. Shirei is fragile but can do some fun stuff.

I have been recently looking for a new mono color deck to play. Something that I normally don't see and could potentially be fun. I started looking in to White because its the color I play the least and eventually stumbled up on this article: Bruna reanimator. I am definitely interested in testing this deck out. However, the article was written about a year ago and I would like some feedback on card choices, card ideas and things of the ilk before I sleeve this up and purchase the remaining cards.

I love playing mono black control with a combo finish. Personal rule, I don't like playing (or try to avoid) 2 card combos that end the game. I don't enjoy that and many people don't either. Also, I am not looking to turn this deck competitive or cutthroat. I'm happy with it being a 75% deck.

My friends and I always had played 60 card decks and often played free-for-all. Our decks became more and more competitive to the point that a friend of mine made an infect deck that he loved to play and didnt want to stop playing. As a way around this I had proposed trying out EDH one snowstorm telling them the benefits of the format when playing in games larger than 1v1 which we did often. So, we gave it a try and havent played any other formats since.
Chainer, Dementia Master is one of my favorite cards and characters in the lore. Ive played him for many years as a goodstuff commander and always have to back burner him because goodstuff can get boring. I would like to build a themed deck that focuses on him specifically as a pit fighter and summoner.
