I think that there's a X/X ooze token missing here dot dot dot

Do we really need */* green Ooze tokens two sets in a row? Return to Ravnica had ooze tokens for Slime Molding.

The angel-making card hasn't been spoiled yet. The token has no watermark so it's not a Boros or Orzhov card, either.

Not necessarily. Return to Ravnica's white bird token is made by Eyes in the Skies, yet it has no watermark. Same thing with the rhino token and Horncaller's Chant.

I suspect that the tokens just follow the usual watermarking rules and only get marked if they're multicolored or have the guild keyword.

Worth noting that Borborygmos Enraged has also now been officially spoilered...by simply being added to the Card Image Gallery. No article, no nothing.

One note: If the guild champion cycle ends up taking up the mythic slots for Dragon's Maze, we can assume that Ral Zarek will count as the Izzet champion.

Izzet: Bori Andon, Izzet Blastseeker. For certain.

A Dimir sleeper agent as the Izzet guild champion? Somehow, I doubt it.

I wish he were a human, and a red/white hybrid.

As a hybrid, he wouldn't get away with having haste or with granting trample.

Granted, there's no color pie reason not to make him human, but it's nice to see that Boros goblins aren't all lowly recruits.

I'm wondering what the phantom has to do with the maze. Sure, it's a leyline phantom, but why do such things exist? Is the maze some sort of phantom world overlaid on--or underlaid beneath--Ravnica?

    Speaking of overlays...

The overlay of Agyrem remains on Ravnica until the Mending, which causes it to become distinct and removed from Ravnica—a kind of "metaplane."

Little is known about Agyrem now; its whereabouts in the Multiverse are a mystery.

I'm honestly not sure what I'd do if they ended Return to Ravnica block with "Suddenly, Agyrem!" I'd probably stare blankly at a wall for five minutes, then begin to feebly clap in stunned recognition of their commitment to repeating the initials, color scheme, and resolution of Ravnica. If nothing else, they know that it sells.

I don't think we'll see an all-gold set, given the reaction to Alara Reborn. I've been thinking that each guild will have three cards in each of its colors--one rare, one uncommon, and one common. Ditto for gold and hybrid.

Then, each guild will have one mythic rare, presumably gold. This leaves us with thirteen cards per guild, or 130 cards.

Each guild could then have two more cards. One possibility would be one common in each of its colors. This would give us a total of 10 mythic rares, 40 rares, 40 uncommons, and 60 commons--150 cards. There are then 6 cards left, which could easily be an unguilded cycle of artifacts, one associated with each color and one associated with the colorless identity. Let's say these are uncommon.

This leaves us with 10 mythic rares, 40 rares, 46 uncommons, and 60 commons, which is a decent breakdown. Each color also has 16 cards--not bad, considering that Return to Ravnica had 28 cards per color.

It's possible that those two extra cards per guild would be split across common and uncommon. They could also be in gold cards, but I don't think we'll see them in hybrid. If they were split across common and uncommon, I'd expect that six-card unguilded cycle to be set to common rarity, giving us 10 mythics, 40 rares, 50 uncommons, and 56 commons. If the two additional cards aren't mono-colored, that leaves us with twelve cards per color. I find twelve cards per color unlikely, but possible, given the fact that each color would also have twelve hybrid cards available to it.

It would be a very cool throwback--though I doubt it'll happen--if the Invasion block split cards were reprinted. After all, Dissension had gold split cards, and they've said that they want to recapture some of the feel of the first Ravnica block without out-and-out repeating anything. That would leave each guild with one additional card--quite easily a common gold card--getting us into the 10 mythics, 40 rares, 50 uncommons, and 56 commons structure. It would also partially address the "twelve cards per color" issue in a way similar to hybrid cards. However, this one is simply me wishing and isn't real speculation.

While I'm on the topic of wishing, I'd be very happy if Refraction were a red/blue hybrid version of Reverberate for the Izzet League.
