Right after Madcap Experiment was spoiled I toyed around with a Temur Madcap Moon list (splashing green for 4 Tarmogoyf, 2 Tireless Tracker and some sideboard cards) and it performed decent but not spectacular. Despite a lot of tweaking I just couldn't get it quite right. But then Dylan Feeman showed up with this great list at GP Dallas! https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/506260#online
The main difference is that Feeman's list is a lot more controlling than mine, and that seems to be the correct version. I've made some minor changes and playtested it quite a bit this week with very good results so far.
I was actually thinking of giving this a try at FNM! There's a Skred player just wrecking everyone and it would be nice to have a threat they actually have to deal with right away.
Trust the Naya, I believe its a fair matchup against Skred, without Blood Moon on the field, I think Skred deck isn't that scary tho but once Blood Moon hit the field, it screws your mana (maybe play 1 plains just so you can cast boros charm or 1 forest to cast atarka's command reliably)
Pls do not play any nonmountains -it screws you way more then bloodmoon ever could
yes I agree never play any non-mountain basics,
for me, as I tend to get clogged up with multicolor spell, I prefer to use 1 forest
No, never use any land that does not tap for red or fetch for something that taps for red. There's no room for a plains or mountain in Burn. Just accept that you're going to get color screwed by Blood Moon and deal with it. If possible, keep up 2 lands, float RG in response to Blood Moon being cast, and cast Destructive Revelry after Moon enters.
Yeah, I've heard from way too many people that you should never play non red fetches or non mountain basics to try it. I'm seeing most lists play Wild Nacatl now, is it considered the "better" choice as opposed to more burn spells?
blue tron or combo decks are really good against us. UW control and blue moon actually get stomped by us, because we have more removal, more gas, and stickier threats. Out of everything you named, Bant Eldrazi is probably the toughest matchup for us.
Really? UW control is bad vs Skred? I figured a deck playing 7+ basics and ways to deal with all your threats (except Stormbreath aside from not letting it resolve) would be a rough matchup for you. Things like Detention Sphere and countermagic seem good no?
Whats the Dredge and Skred match-up like? I have a guy in my LGS wrecking everyone with Skred. I do have trusty Naya Burn sitting in my closet, thought it might end this guy's streak! Also since it won GP Dallas I expect to see more of it.

okosheep has betrayed us! Jk
Honestly though, I consider bant Eldrazi a great match up. I've lost to it once in maybe 12 times playing against it?
For sure, Blood Moon shuts off most of the deck. Not being able to produce colorless is a bit of a speed bump. I even dealt with 2 Blood Moons with Engineered Explosives and still got smashed.
What matchups are poor for the deck? There's a guy in my LGS just wrecking everyone every week. He's beat me on Jund, RW Prison and Bant Eldrazi. My other options are Burn, Junk, Blue Moon and UW Control. What's got the best shot? I imagine either Blue Moon or UW Control?
Bit of an odd question but how does the deck match up against Skred Red? I've got a guy at my LGS that's just wrecking the shop with Skred and I'm looking to play something that can shut him down I figure this deck might be good since Blood Moon does nothing to Blue Moon and it plays permission to keep his Koth and Chandras from resolving.
Agreed, Infect is as boring as a water flavored popsicle.
@OP:
Is it just between Infect and Bant Eldrazi, or are you just want shuffle between what is tier 1 currently? If you are not locked solely into what's good and popular I would go with decks such as Grixis Delver and Jund/Abzan. Both are good options that will likely never see a ban and there's so many interactions that you'll hardly ever grow bored.
Nah, I just saw someone want to get rid of Bant Eldrazi and asked if they were interested in Infect. I actually already have Jund, Burn, Abzan Company and UWR Nahiri so I have a solid base of decks to choose from.
So I currently have Infect built and don't really play it. It's undeniably powerful but very linear and boring in my opinion. I recently found someone that has Bant Eldrazi and wants to trade into Infect. I find Bant Eldrazi a fun deck and it seems solid. We would keep most of our staples like Hierarchs etc and mainly trade parts one another needs for the deck. What do you guys think? I just don't want to trade into a deck that would become horrible with a meta shift or banning.
If you think Infect is boring I don't know how much more you will like Eldrazi to be honest (unless you just want to play with the cool Eldrazi cards). Eldrazi is pretty linear. Basically a worse version of Infect in my opinion.
Wow, really? I figured with the Displacers, Drowners and Thoughtknots there would be more lines you could take than with Infect.
Well yeah it is slightly more interactive, but it really wants to just drop a turn 3 Smasher off a Heirarch and swing for 6.
Basically 90% of the time it foregoes the need for interaction because of the power level of it's creatures. Jund, for example, goes after the hand, then bolts the bird, then drops a Goyf or Lilly. While these are all great things to do, Eldrazi just says well here is a TKS on turn 2 and a Smasher on 3. Deal with this. Yes it could play the interactive game if it wanted too, but usually just presenting lethal on turn 3 or 4 is how the game ends.
Perhaps I am jaded because as a Jund player my deck is basically strictly worse than Eldrazi lol

Hey guys, I'm basically running card for card the list I saw on CFB recently. I took it to a small event last night and went 3-1. I have a feeling the list is actually running too many lands, I flooded quite often. Here's what I was working with:
My only loss was to Grixis control (I didn't side in Sudden Shock and died to Creeping Tarpit). I wrecked Infect and Burn and squeaked out a victory to against Skred (thank you Leyline of Sanctity!) Wrath of God did actual nothing the entire night but I can see why it's a good inclusion. Other than flooding out several times, the deck felt great.

I know the feeling, I also play Jund.
