If they don't ban at this point any further ban/unban talk should be stopped forever.
Though that will never happen. People won't stop until we are all either trying to win with Flying Men or everybody is casting Ancestral Recall off their Mox Sapphire.
There is no middle ground and a decision needs to be made about in which direction the format will go. Standard plus or Legacy lite. Continued bannings is clearly the tool of the Standard plus camp that will not stop until chaining Siege Rhinos becomes the best way to victory. Unbannings, reprints and new cards are the tools of the other camp and Im firmly in that one.
Modern already became a bit of a laughing stock in the past because you had to hope that your deck never does well because otherwise it gets banned. Confirming that dynamic is like tronix said irreparable damage to the format and the trust in it.
So what would be next? We saw Phoenix decks have tons of explosive turns. Guess we ban that too.
7 mana on turn 3? Banned.
Playing a bunch of creatures that buff each other? Banned.
Playing a black 1 mana 13/13 creature? Banned
Where do we draw the line here, eh?
Right nobody can answer that because if I would ask 10 people I would get 12 different responses or something like that. "Just ban everything I personally don't like."
But there is one party who can answer this and those are the creators of the game. And I hope that they stop taking the easy way out by making announcements that invalidate entire decks and then sit on their hands the rest of the time.
This is after all no Treasure Cruise or Eldrazi era. It can be dealt with in a different way.
So to use Restore Balance I cast Electrodominace for 0 right and it will work?
I wonder if I can work into my Jeskai Control Deck.
You could but Restore Balance cares about the one with the fewest resources and as a Control deck you will probably have more lands and more cards in hand so you have to do the sacrificing and discarding
The way I see it why would anyone want fast mana?
The only reason to want that is to do broken plays and you can't really argue that's a desperate need in Modern.
Still quite a bit of cards to go but from the stuff we have seen so far it looks like RNA seems to be a weaker set than GRN. But obviously some pearls will be among them.
I think Electrodominance is the number 1 card right now and don't know if there is something in there that could top this card. This is like the definition of pushed and looks to be pretty much the Assassin's Trophy of this set and the amount of things and plays this enables is crazy. Im not talking exclusively about Modern here but I imagine we will have to keep this card on our radar from now on. In the worst case scenario it's still a removal spell or something to close the game with.
That BW split card looks like it specifically tailored to fight Golgari. The first half combats Memorial to Folly and Find // Finality and the second one is a clean answer to Carnage Tyrant.
Looks decent. A cantrip that saves some life and Instant-speed blockers and lifegain and also protection for planeswalkers against opposing The Eldest Reborns and Plaguecrafters
Yeah you expect a flicker champ maybe something like Gideon.
Or something that locked down things that attempt to enter the battlefield that wasnt cast (there by stopping both Ghost Dads from flickering themselves to safety)... like, she is even small that she cant even survive an attack from Ghost Dad. How in any way did she manage to kill them -.-....

Terese Nielsen art. Can't get much better than that.

You can flash in basically anything with this. Besides lands of course.
Because that is still just speculation
I don't see a lot of hype for the card right now and for good reason IMO.
I certainly expected a bit more splashiness from a mythic rare Orzhov Angel
Well Dack Fayden already exists and he is just way better in that environment.
