I'm wondering about two headed giant commander deck
Building, specifically if life totals start at 40 for each team and if you are bound to the one card per team or per deck rule portion of it. I realize it's official and unofficial as a format so that's why I'm asking.
As I lack the amount of planeswalkers to do this list, I'm thinking a bit of a tap down theme would be good. This list looks great tho, I felt burned out on izzet after playing Locus God, and I've barely had my Jhoira deck build for two weeks, it looks like I'll be having two izzet decks in my box that do different shenanigans!!!
Thank you for the clarification, I was wondering because it does read "up to two target merfolk" so pretty much spell means Instant or Sorcery, not creature, artifact, aura enchantment, am I understanding this correctly?
Sorry, but I very much am flagging you. Being on mobile is not an excuse, because card tags can be typed, and this was already explained to you in private messages. You write [c] to the left and [/c] to the right of each card name. You just need to find the square brackets ([ ]) and the forward slash (/) on your device's keyboard. It may be a bit of a hassle at first, but they should be there. -MadMage
I'm curious if creature cards that enter the battlefield and distribute +1 +1 counters on creatures will trigger a Heroic mechanic effect, if one of those gets the counters? And does Retreat to Kazandu trigger Heroic if you use the landfall trigger to put a counter on it?
If a bigger creature attacks you can respond with agony warp and block with an angler and angler will possibly not die. Also, it is black blue which are the main colors of this deck not saying red isn't important so they would be like alternate bolt out of the sideboard for specific scenarios. Just saying agony warp might be worth 1 in the side board
Agrees about Anger of the Gods or Pyroclasm type cards against abzhan company. Surgical extraction is helpful too. I have played grixis delver for a few years and was concerned when gitprobe got banned. But have discovered fatal push is worth it with some number of spell snare and discard, especially with the surgical extraction. I've def beat all the popular type decks at least once. The only decks that gave me problems were Lantern Control and Amulet Bloom. Young Peezy to the SB, run 4 Snapcasters, 4 Delver, 2 Tasigur, 2 Anglers now 12 creature count also thoughts on going to 20 lands to add a fetch to help with the fatal push? Also Agony Warp garbage or what?
In my opinion you can cut Trinket Mage not enough targets for it. Saheeli Rai possibly one of the ulamogs. Just don't seem to fit, but there could be other changes.
What have your choices for mana rocks if you are using the engine with them? Does it make sense to go back with an X SPELL variation build to be able to keep up? or limit the highest converted mana spells to say 6 or 7 ? I ask this because I am interested in playing my whole deck and I think could be along the line of what I've been looking for. My other thought is to switch our general with Arjun, The Shifting Flame that way every time you cast, the stuff untaps and you have a new hand of spells to mess with. So on and so on you would dig through your deck crafting your win!? Please tell me your thoughts!
Thank you that was one of the main reason I was asking this because of the unusual wording on Mimeoplasm. I actually didn't double check the oracle text either.
Probe getting banned is a little ridiculous but I can see why. It makes any strategy left with delve cards that much worse. I'm not even sure I want to try grixis delver anymore it relied on that card to get an early gurmag angler and I feel like that was already a tier 1.5 deck anyway, there's no way it's getting better, right?
After starting reading this thread I realized. What you were just saying. I'll be paying attention to various build with the engine along with the Resevior. Are Hedron archive and Traverse the Ulvenwald necessary?
