I wouldn't put this at common but I think it's probably just about printable by today's standards. Mainly because Goblin Guide still plays above it though.
I think I could have seen a spot for this six months ago. Goblin Rabblemaster is essentially offering the same but churns out goblins instead of pumping (which is probably slightly more useful for goblin decks).
I actually love the flavour, though it does always depend on a playgroups definition of fun whether land destruction is accepted.
I don't personally like the idea of regeneration for goblins, but I'm sure some people might.
I'm not entirely clear on the second part of your card. Is this just a way of saying that if your in combat and control an unblocked goblin then you may have tapped and attacking. Is this the same playing that the unblocked goblin is attacking? There's probably a better way to say this.
The first ability is going to be too strong for 1RR. Perhaps up the mana cost a bit.
The first ability isn't really red. Perhaps you change it to intimidate?
Second ability should be written along the lines of "You may sacrifice a creature. If you do..."
The third ability shouldn't destroy enchantments.
Another iterattion of the same walker representing him as a diversant. First ability may be used with Goblin Lackey or the likes or to deliver the last bits of damage. Second ability is Fling which is kinda flavorful if you think about goblin suicide bombing. Ultimate is a game winning one that turns all of your creatures into master diversants that break stuff whenever they get a chance. It is balanced out by the fact that usually Goblins(the tribe he is supposed to support) are squishy and easy to get rid off.

How many people are streaming/recording videos on V4, aside from the "Wide Beta Lowlight?" Not many at all. Anywhere V4 is discussed, the opinions are overall negative.
The speculation in my original post is based on the EV slashing of events (Momir/Pauper, 4-pack sealed) and the straight price increases. (redemption fee increase, prerelease entry objects) Even if the MTGO store is the only place where tickets are originated, grinders (or anyone not terrible at constructed DEs) still don't need to spend any money there. A tournament token guarantees the best grinders will need to pay to play, even if they're just selling tickets to vendors to buy the tournament tokens. Wizards gets even more vig. (and they took our Momir-Vig!)
The V3 shutdown cluster**** is the perfect time to implement the tournament token. Do some of you believe a bunch of guys with boxcutters alone made the Twin Towers turn to dust too?
So the person who beleived WotC crashed their own client last November is accusing everyone else of wacked out conspiracy theoriests.
Please next time your start a thread with no actual basis, can you put it in the baseless speculation subforum.

Your tournament token idea is essentially what event tickets are already (unless you've found a bug that let's you produce event tickets without going to the store). This whole post is fairly ridiculous.Posted in: Speculation

It appears I have misspelt your name. The way I see it we have two options:
1) I could simply edit the OP.
2) You could formally request a name change here and therefore I would have been right all along.
If it helps with the decision making process I always thought Droombringer was a darling name.

Beyond FNM and Commander, I play casual, non-Commander mtg with a revolving door of people who really just want fun games with fun affects, with cards they like and already have, where anyone has a chance of winning, typically on a relaxing night around a few beers with our favorite music in the the background. Cards like this allow people who are much more competitive like me to build really interesting decks and find ways to make it work while letting other, not-so-commited-to-mtg-but-rather-not-commited-at-all (or too-poor-to-care-enough) people play their silly vampire decks or whatever that are rather slow.
And this is the how the majority of people play magic!
Now throw in all the poor youngsters into the mix. There is some little kid somewhere brewing a deck to beat all his buddies at lunch with this card right now and I'm glad for it, whether it works or not. That is an enormous part of what magic is all about! So much discovery to be had!
I agree that it would be awesome if this would have been more efficiently costed, but I can't say that it doesn't have its place just because it isn't.
Don't just brush aside the "its not for you" mantra. As cliche as it is, there is a lot of truth to it.
Apr 23, 2014Dao posted a message on Knowledge and Power represents everything that is wrong with the blockI think it's eminently obvious that the way this card was designed has everything to do with how many cheap repeatable scry effects there are in block. I'm not sure I understand where people are coming from here. If this had been costed like, say, burning vengeance, the u/r deck built around it would seriously break the back of the format. It makes every dissolve a 2-for-1 and every sigiled starfish a lavamancer w/o drawback. Magma jets do 4 damage, keranos bolts 5. That prognostic sphinx would be a blue flying inferno titan. There's genuinely way too much in this set that works way too well with a burning vengeance variant. Costing it out of the market was a good move. Even at 1 per activation it's still pretty risky.Posted in: New Card Discussion
Oh and the reason burning vengeance is so aggressive compared to the other variants of it in the past is because flashback as a mechanic already has some hoops in that the cards need to get to and stay in the graveyard and typically they flashed back for more mana than simply casting it would've cost. The only creature that really interacted with flashback in innistrad was snapcaster.

I popped on Daily MTG and it looks like the release notes are up? So that would be a lot of spoiled cards if not all of them? Or Am I just seeing things?
Jan 15, 2014Posted in: The Rumor MillQuote from AoiSo Rakdos Minotaurs will be a thing in standard now? Because I seriously like that tribe and its colors.
Yes, it stacks
So turn 2: Deathbellow Raider
T4: Ragemonger + Boros Reckoner + Rageblood Shaman + Boros Reckoner/Rageblood Shaman
Oct 22, 2013I have some cards for the Birds also I think you should add feather counters or exalted just sayingPosted in: Custom Set Creation and Discussion
I think you should be an uncommon variation of Ageless Sentinels, Battle Screech, (for CG maybe you could leave it are and make it a 3/4 and only target birds. Celestial Gatekeeper, Glarecaster.
A few card for you to think about.
Nest Mother 2WW
Creature - Bird (U)
Whenever another bird creature enters the battlefield under your control put a +1/+1 counter on all bird creatures you control.
Aven Egg W
Creature - Bird (U) or (R)
~ enters the battlefield with 5 Hatch counters.
At the beginning of each upkeep remove a hatch counter from ~.
As long as ~ has no Hatch counters, ~ becomes a 4/4 White Bird and gains Flying First Strike with "Bird creatures you control get a +1/+1."
Oct 21, 2013I like that there leading mechanic is Flying which is simple yet flavorful but you know you have to make a white favorable winds ;). Other than that I am interested to see more out of this set but I would suppose that because they ability is evasion that the cards they would have would be white control, like silence, arrest and etc.Posted in: Custom Set Creation and Discussion
Oct 19, 2013I like the flavor overall of each card but again to me at least the flavor of the mechanic and the mechanic itself are off and with mine you are about 60 percent there.Posted in: Custom Set Creation and Discussion
I would rather for a mine effect that it reveals cards until you see a land ,then you choose a permanent card and put it into your hand and exile or if mine is on a few card put the revealed cards into your graveyard. Since you are mining for cards, I would think that the cards you would mine for would be permanent since flavor-wise it is hard to mine for a instant or sorcery and that you get that card hand but at a steep cost because if you mine to much you may lose. I think mine cards should cost in general no more than four or they may become unplayable. Example if I am building a mine deck it would be aggro because I don't want to hit lands you I would run 20 since red can ritual but it if you tried to start push mine into high cmc you would start to have more midrange red builds and red has never alone been great at midrange so you would weaken your lizard tribal. My two cents,
Oct 18, 2013Great Set so far I agree with ^, the mechanic is great but the flavor is 80 percent there when I it could be 100 percent there I am suggesting either change the name or alter it to affect shared creature types. I shall try and post on here more I have been pretty busy. (Fixing Scae, I am sure you remember her lmfao)Posted in: Custom Set Creation and Discussion
