I have a Vampire Nighthawk equipped with Mask of Avacyn, giving him hexproof. My opponent has Wall of Vines enchanted with Venom.

If I attack with my nighthawk and he blocks with his wall o' vines, will my nighthawk die? or does hexproof prevent this?

Sorry for the nubbish question. Couldn't find anything in the search function.
