I've been running the deck for several months winning a lot at my local meta, it seems like people don't learn to tweak sideboards... ages without seeing some mass enchantment removal... here are my current 75, any opinion will be taken
I've been playing the deck for several months, currently looking to finish it all 100% foil/altered. I made a few changes to the original list to adapt the deck to a more competitive enviroment:
-1 Viashino Racketeer ||| He's not bad, but Rummaging Goblin is way better, i never abused his ability, he depends on having other cards to reuse (and abuse), hes not a goblin, and i never would use the recruiter to fetch him ...
-1 Springleaf Drums ||| The acceleration that the drum provides is often irrelevant to the game
-1 Mogg Infestation ||| This card can go nuts with Goblin Assassin in game, but otherwise its not that good, i put it in the bench to test mass removals
-1 Grip of Chaos ||| The hardest decision i make at time to cut something, this card is great, but i found that several times i use it to feed Rummaging Goblin because im in control of the game state .. so another one going to the bench...
Treason ! When u protect / help someone to develop his/her game and suddenly he kills you first out of nowhere, always fun (after all edh is a lot about politics ^^)
This is how i got the deck right now, some foils are in the mail in their way home I will post photos later this week so you can see the alters
This deck is awesome, and the terror of more than one of my friends
Here in Argentina not too much people is playing modern right now, so the tournaments are played by 8 - 14 players normally. I'm making 3-0's 4-0's almost constantly (only splitting last rounds if we are drafting later so the both finalist can draft without having to purchase boosters) with this list:
Wait... What am I missing? How does Seal of Primordium help deal with Lily?
Seal has been brought up a lot. The only advantages to running it over Nature's Claim is that it doesn't gain the opponent life and it gives a buff to your Ethereal Armor. I feel the 1 CMC and Instant speed on Claim make it a better SB choice than the Seal.
Pandemonium is a great card, if u are playing against Kaalia or something like that just dont cast it, throw it with rummaging goblin or viashino racketeer.
by the way : i finally finish the deck ! imperia recruiter foil is in the house
His point about the Hexproof was basically "you probably shouldn't run any creatures without Hexproof, but if you're going to, then Kor Spiritdancer fills that slot, because it is strictly better than Evershrike."
And it really is a lot better than Evershrike, to be honest. In THIS deck. Evershrike is too slow. Way too slow.
THAT ! Exactly that.
I cut 2nd dryad arbor from the sideboard and put in the 4th leyline
About bue splash. I tested it ... it gives you a few great enchantments like unstable mutation and the best hexproof dude in Invisible Stalker, but overall it tends to slow you down.
Evershrike doesnt have hexproof, Kor Spiritdancer is strictly better in that spot of the deck.
Btw i went 4-0 in a modern tournament at my LGS, only lost first game against kiki-pod. Seems like people forgot about this deck
I think im cutting the dryad arbor in the sideboard for another leyline of sanctity but i dont know ...
stony silence is a house against the other unfair decks (affi, tron and eggs)
About the Gatecrash enchantment; it could be a sweet add to the deck, maybe in the keen sense slot (i'm still using the card) but it need further testing, im worried about the fact that it doesn't have and inmediately effect in the game, i don't like my enchantments being "slow".
anything u would change for next time? how good is heiarch been for ya. and what do u think of abundant growth in that spot? i just have noticed it can give u more explosive start
I dont see Abundant Growth replacing Noble Hierarch, the only useful effect i can see in the growth by itself is the cantrip. Its too dependant on having the Ethereal Armor in hand to gain a bonus from it. The hierarch fix mana if we need to (rarely we need the fix because we play mostly duals), ramps, gives "exalted", and has a body, not the best one but still can get out of range with a totem armor on it (i win several matches just taking that risk).
I think Gitaxian Probe is better than the growth cause its a "free" cantrip that gives us information that can be crucial in the development of the match.
I think im the first one to build this on paper at my entire city, never seen one before out of MTGO so i think i got a great chance to shake things a bit. What do you think of this ? Any changes i should do ?
