Clunky? I doubt even a ramp deck would want 27 lands in their deck.
Not sure why you're omitting Evolving Wilds and Nissa (aka mythic Borderland Ranger)?
Working on a post rotation deck, haven't touched standard much since Return to Ravnica.
First draft - the early curve is a bit rough, really focusing on 2-for-1's and synergy.
Not sure about having Transgress the Mind maindeck yet. Draconic Roar / Thunderbreak Regent is a possibility, but is Searing Blaze any good in standard?
45 man GPT, trying out Scapeshift for the first time at competitive REL.
List:
4 STE 4 S4T 4 Remand 4 Cryptic 4 Scape 3 Anticipate 3 Bolt
2 Anger 2 Snapcaster 2 Farseek 2 Peer through Depths 1 Nissa, Worldwaker
4 Misty 4 Vents 3 Stomp 2 Cinder Glade 2 Flooded Grove
3 Forest 3 Island 2 Mountain 2 Valakut 1 Breeding Pool
Side: 2 Thrun 2 Keranos 2 Destructive Revelry 2 Disdainful Stroke 4 Obstinate Baloth
1 Teferi 1 Engineered Explosives 1 Sudden Shock
Round 1: Tooth and Nail Elves 1-2
Game 1 I Remanded Garruk Wildspeaker and Tooth and Nail, but both came back later.
Game 2 I kept countering + bouncing enchanted lands until I found Scapeshift.
Game 3 Turn 2 Garruk on the play, he did overextend into an Anger of the Gods which I couldn't find fast enough.
Round 2: Bye
Round 3: Tokens 2-0
Game 1 Discard into Discard, but a Nissa, Worldwaker took it away, eating 2 Paths and a Murderous Cut then running away with it.
Game 2 nice anti-discard hand with 2 Remand 2 S4T 1 Keranos 2 land. Countered until he tapped out and Scapeshifted him.
Round 4: Scapeshift 0-2
Game 1 Both of us Anticipated/Searched/Eldered until he Shifted while I was flooded out.
Game 2 I was one land short of a winning Scapeshift when he tapped out for Baloth, then he Shifted me out with counter backup.
Round 5: Naya Chord of Calling 2-0
Both games he didn't have a Voice of Resurgence, just countered his stuff until he tapped out and Shifted him.
Hey guys, sorry for interrupting your discussion, you actually have some good ideas and I agree with you, clique is way too expensive for the play it sees.
I haven't played modern for a while, the store I used to go doesn't run it anymore, but I intend on going to a different story maybe in 3 months or so. So in the meanwhile I don't want to spend too much money, but I don't wanna miss an opportunity.
Right now I still need cryptic command, keranos, splinter twin and remands. Any of those cards that's a really good price right now that I shouldn't miss the opportunity to buy?
Thanks for any help
Actually Remand is very low right now - I just picked up the Ravnica ones for under $6, as they had been sitting at $18 for-freaking-ever.
In regards to the Knight's Retreat, it's nowhere near as powerful as in Legacy where you can kill them out of nowhere with Dark Depths. It's still a good value card for Bant Midrange if you want to build around it, just like Lotus Cobra.
Holy moly are things getting out of hand - Goblin Rabblemaster $44 (per set) Goblin Piledriver $60 preorder, maybe more on release. Goblin Guide $132 Legion Loyalist $25 Warren Instigator $72 Aether Vial $144 (not really necessary though) Mutavault $60 Cavern of Souls $200 (for now..)
Add in a couple of fetches (or Auntie's Hovel which has now doubled in price)
for your sideboard stuff and it all adds up!
I'd usually just put this in the price thread but since it's Goblins (a tribe that many new & old players love)
thought it deserved its own.
Goryo's Vengeance and Summer Bloom are the big offenders, IMHO. Burn might need a ban or two if they print another incredibly great card in the next year.

Round 6: Mono Black Eldrazi 0-2
Both games, multiple discard spells followed by Thought-Knot Seers and Oblivion Sowers with Cavern of Souls.
Pretty awful matchup IMO.
No Tron or Burn present from what i saw, lot of Naya Chord, Zoo, Affinity, and Scapeshift.
