As far as the Palinchron debate, for me there is no replacement. I simply don't have a card to cut for something i find less flexible, needing more cards to combo with, and less resilient.
Your deck seems to have quite a steep mana-curve. Our lists overlap heavily but you are well higher on the curve, and frankly, I'm not sure my list isn't too high on the curve.
As for the curve, we both have 6 creatures over 5 cmc. My deck pretty much tops out at 4 and 5 cmc to be honest. After that it really uses Birthing Pod/ Tooth and Nail/ Chord of calling to cheat the other into play. I also have more ramp than your deck as well.

I've been debating replacing Buried Ruins with Academy Ruins. The problem is that with that change I cannot get back the artifact and play it the same turn without a draw method.
You never seen my list and you won't see it in this forum. I have two creatures with casting cost of six and none higher. I have three non-creature spells with casting cost of six - one of which has Miracle - and none higher.
Academy Ruins keeps going; it's multi-use but that's obvious. The way to use it to put the card on top prior to your draw phase but that's obvious too. You've got Crucible of Worlds so maybe Buried Ruin works for you.

I also like the filter lands, especially Flooded Grove and Mystic Gate, but I also play Wooded Bastion. I play the pain-lands too, but I have Eldrazi Displacer so the filter lands and the pain-lands are rather needful in my list.

I had Noble Hierarch in at one point. I'm just not a huge fan of mana dorks in a format where board wipes are so prevalent. I'd rathe just fetch for the mana and keep it around.
Yavimaya Dryad is a strong consideration at this point, but i'm not really sure that i like it as a 3 mana creature when Farseek is only two mana and Cultivate/ Kodak's Reach are the same three mana but get me one more land.
Venser, the Sojourner was in. He was replaced with Conjurers closet. Which I'm personally much more happy with.
This deck looks too fair to combat combo decks effectively. It doesn't really do anything until it has six mana or so. It's a good list for a fair or casual game experience but I don't see how this keeps degenerate combos in their place.

The Zealous Conscripts, I simply wasn't maximizing its potential. It's only "OK" by its self and copied 1 time with Riku. I already have an infinite combo with Pestermite (which I feel is better with flying and flash), not sure I needed 2. Thats really it. Zealous Conscripts might find its way back into the list, just testing for now.

My Second EDH deck. Tired of losing to people ganging up on me or degenerative combos when I try to play fair. So, this is my new deck to play to keep those people in line while still being able to have fun with others. More like moderating the group from within. I have a pretty high budget with this deck so I tried to not leaving anything out. Any recommendations are of course appreciated and considered.
I know in this sea of comments I might be drowned out, but... I am looking to build this deck. I have absolutely no price restrictions, and I would like to make this deck as fun and competitive as possible.
Could you tell me, if given infinite $$$, what you would replace in this deck to make it as good as possible?
