Dromoka's Command is just insane. It's almost a guaranteed 2-1 in the current meta. Auto 4-of for sure.
I like the look and want to experiment a little with Boon Satyr for the ability to leave up either more board presence or counter magic t3. The color requirements may be too much though.
The copies won't trigger possiblity storm. You'll only get one possibility storm trigger out of the interaction because of the fact you are only going to cast the one spell from hand.
Mystical Teachings is just too slow and not enough of a worthwhile effect to be worth much. It's good in Grixis mostly because they can take advantage of it as a card for Liliana to eat. The addition of black for teachings isn't a problem because you can still get face value easily and it's not needed until t6 at the earliest. Terminate requires a more color intense requirement early and murderous cut also wants its mana early. UWR already has access to quite possibly the best removal as it is. Bolt, Path, Snapcaster, Helix, Verdict do well enough without turning aggro matchups worse.
Man they must really hate the LRR crew to give them this as a spoiler. Maybe next time they can give them some yu-gi-oh cards to spoil since they'd have more of an effect on magic.
The ooze would gain the ability of Ragamuffyn but not Gobhobbler Rats. The difference is that Ragamuffyn always has its activated ability and is only restricted in timing. Gobhobbler Rats however has a static ability that only works while it is on the battlefield that allows it to gain an activated ability.
You would pick which copy of Bladewing the Risen you would like to keep (token or real) and the rest will go to the graveyard. After that you choose which Dragon Permanent cards to target and return to the battlefield and you would get 5 of these triggers.
I built a Pod deck that used Bitter Ordeal as an extra Win Con. Phantasmal Image + Crypt Champion gives infinite gravestorm in addition to the usual Melira/Finks combo. It wasn't bad, but Falkenrath Noble or Blood Artist was just overall better.
I'm pretty certain that they are exclusively Shapeshifters when they are in a graveyard and Yixlid Jailer is on the battlefield.
They are actually still all creature types. Because of how the layer system works they gain all creature types in layer 4 before losing the ability in layer 6.
Dies is used only with creatures as a flavor thing. If you have a chalice of the void on the battlefield and someone destroys it then it didn't 'die' as we would think of it in English as it was never alive. Because Blood Artist's trigger is expected to only ever be used with creatures they use die. The only exception is when it is the original Blood Artist that lost its creature type that is put into the graveyard. Here we can use 'dies' to mean 'put into the graveyard from play'. It is similar to how a card naming itself really means 'this permanent'
In order to make the card possible you have to either add more restrictions to casting or give the opponent more benefits. Remember that white is supposed to have removal based around other conditional (attacking) or benefiting the opponent (oblation). So something like:
Virtue's Glory
WWW
Exile target creature.
This spell costs W less to cast for each white permanent you control. This cannot reduce the cost below W
or
Virtue's Glory
WWW
Exile target creature.
You may have an opponent draw a card instead of paying a W for this spell.
Correct. Because there is no intervening if clause when the ability resolves it will do as much as it can. Since sacrificing the creature is an impossible action it will just go to the next line and allow the search.
You will get an additional combat phase for each Scourge of the Throne (or copy of Scourge of the Throne) that is attacking. However the untap portion happens immediately so what will happen is attack with both, resolve one trigger and untap, then resolve second trigger and untap again, then combat, then another combat phase where any untapped creature can attack, and then finally another combat phase where any untapped creature can still attack. As you can see stacking the abilities is only really useful if your creature have vigilance.
