I was thinking I could always Enchanted Evening everything, including lands, then steal them with Aura Thief, then I'll have a super firm mana base. But I've made too many decks with Enchanted Evening and it's a pretty annoying card to play against when it's in a deck full of shenanigans.
Lithl, thanks for pointing that out, I was aware it was a fixed ability, but I love the flavor of "Championing" so much I thought I could skew the ability just for my play group. But I guess if I ever wanted to join a different group and try to pass off my general I should just make it a unique worded ability.
The other night I was facing off against my roommates naya super ramp deck and I managed to draw cleansing at the right moment for once. It cleaved our life split and he never recovered.
I'd say more generals overall, as well. Personally I'd like to see a WU bouncer like Venser. And a really swell Kobold General, but thats just my own personal fantasy. Also, a legendary Changeling.
Exactly, which, now that I think of it, may make him a little too good if I threw in a Venser, but flavor-wise I wasn't planning on running a planeswalker in the deck.
Yeah, I actually just invested in both a Rasputin and a Grand Arbiter, it took a relative chunk of of my budget, I try not to drop too much on a deck. Land tax and Dreamscape Artist seem like good options, I also thought about storing a High Tide in a Isochron Scepter to condense islands.
Morpho the Dispensary3GUW
Legendary Creature - Changeling Cleric
Changeling GUW Place a Plasma Counter on target creature.
Creatures with plasma counters have the Changeling ability.

So I'm working on a custom WU leviathan general for an EDH deck
Everyone in my EDH group is making a custom general, that gets passed around the group to be approved by everyone else. I've made a Leviathan General that's a throw back to the Bible, sort of echoing Job and Jonah, he's currently being passed around my group to approve p/t and casting cost:
Ommadon, The Revered 6WU
Legendary Creature - Leviathan
Trample
Annihilator 2
Whenever Ommadon, The Revered attacks, Champion a Human (When this attacks, sacrifice it unless you exile a non-token Human you control. When this leaves the battlefield, that card returns to the battlefield.)
8/8
"Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever?" - Job 41:4
My deck is going to be human-heavy with Old Testament flavor.
So I'm working on a custom WU leviathan general for an EDH deck, totally for fun, and want to run certain Leviathan cards. Are there any mana ramp mechanics, to fit those colours, to allow me to play a late game Leviathan, and be able to take the Island loss hit?
Frankly, Donatello really should have had some sort of artifact-interaction ability, he is the tech whiz of the group.
Master SplinterWUG
Legendary Creature - Mutant Rat Ninja
When Master Splinter comes into play, Mutant Ninja Turtle creatures you control gain First Strike and Vigilance until end of turn.
Tap four Mutant Ninja Turtles you control, return Master Splinter to your hand.
2/3
Leonardo2UG
Legendary Creature - Mutant Ninja Turtle
Soulbond (You may pair this creature with another unpaired creature when either enters the battlefield. They remain paired for as long as you control both of them.)
As long as Leonardo is paired with another creature, both creatures have "Whenever this creature deals damage to a creature or player, detain target creature an opponent controls."
3/3
Lubria, Sky-Knight Instructor3WU
Legendary Creature - Griffin
Vigilance
Soldierbond (You may pair this creature with another unpaired creature when either enters the battlefield. They remain paired for as long as you control both of them.)
As long as ~ is paired with a soldier, both creatures have flying, first strike, and +1/+1
3/4
Direplasm2:symgw::symgw:
Creature - Hound Ooze
Vigilance
Direplasm comes into play with 4 +1/+1 counters on it.
Move a +1/+1 counter from Direplasm to target creature.

The most banal creature type ever, randomly including a host of cards that are completely unrelated.
I feel the same way about elementals. Of course sometimes I think something should be an elemental, like Air Elemental and Ball Lightning, but other times I look at a creature and think "this can just be a flesh and blood creature." Things like Llanowar Behemoth feel like they should be living creatures, not elementals. I think Wizards should be more discerning with that creature type.
