I understand your points perfectly. you were saying ramp is bad so I was pointing out that mana elves must be bad then. I get the difference between the elves and farseek, one comes in early and is more useful but is also vulnerable to removal. they both play very different rolls while also ramping. I would play out your ramp scenario al but also playing more ramp spells to get more big bodies, it all depends on the cards in your pool when you build your deck. Cather plays the same roll that DT does in WW, a hard to remove target with a more relevant body then a 1/1 most cases DT is better because of flying but with out any pump spells in hand I would take Cather.
Edit: no need to get rude man we are all playing this silly game for fun, don't take yourself so seriously.

cathar is very similar to doomed traveler and is great in white aggro decks, I can't see how cathar and armor are comparable one is a recurring creature and the other is a 2 for 1 waiting to happen, I've played armor before and it was never good, you can really only use it in a W/U hexproof deck. most drafts are quick games and not playing cards so armor gets better is bad value.

why run mana elves if ramp is bad? they are more useful as you can attack and block but they are outclassed to fast, so you use them to smooth mana and ramp. why would instant/sorcery ramp spells be bad then? dies to removal is such a week crutch to stand on, so I don't ramp and get crusher out turn 8, he will still die to the same removal he would have if I ramped, so why run anything that will die to removal then? I get building around removal for constructed meta's but for cube it is a really week argument.

Just my opinions and I'm sure I haven't played enough to know how magic works Grin

we all have pet cards I guess. I really like Cathar and I've never had a problem getting threshold. you really like Empyrial armour which is good for a few turns but there are much better cards to fill that slot imho. I like ramp and if you support it right it works. nothing like dropping a fattie on turn 3-4 and stopping agro in their tracks. no need to tell me I don't have experience playing because I evaluate cards differently. I played competitive with Brad Nelson and Corey Baumeister before they went professional(or maybe pro players don't mean anything).

I'll give you Prophet of the peak as an odd choice but loyal cathar(recurring creature) and werebear(4/4 for 2) are good cards and the crustacean is alright as an early game blocker late game win condition. whats wrong with the green ramp?

really not sure what about his cube is bad. I see a lot of cards that most of us run, and I'm not seeing any bad cards. just seems like you have a personal vendetta against Adam.

IN my opinion the Dies to "x" removal spells is pretty week. in response to putting spectral flight on a creature it can be removed by "x" removal spells, 2 for 1. not that spectral is a bad card but comparing it to a creature is wrong, they both serve different rolls. are 3/1's bad? they area fast clock for aggro right? what about white 2/1 fliers? UW skies is a great deck and the blue 2/1's fit right in. spectral flight is not an aggro card, definitely more of a midrange card to win the stalled board state.

Honestly band togethers wording sounds like it would work either way. But judging it by the name of the card. I'd say your creatures are teaming up on one of your opponents creatures. If it was called something like twin strike or dual strike I could see it targeting two of your opponent's creatures. Some of the old cards have trash wording and this card falls right in with them.

Glad the cube is coming along. collecting cards and digging through boxes of old cards is one of my favorite things about building my cube. now I have all the commons that may go into my cube in a box so no more digging through old sets.

Apprentice Wizard is worse then signets, dies to every removal spell, and would not be very useful.
Kuldotha Rebirth is a cool card but what artifacts would you be ok sacrificing for three 1/1's? I would say it's unplayable unless you build a very heavy artifact cube.
generally under cost creatures will be better then X Creature mana sinks with no protection. would you pay 3 for a 2/2 with no abilities over a borderland ranger or centaur courser? They do scale with your mana but not enough for it to be worth it.

You may have your own opinion yes, but you can't say bombs are bad for cube then run bomb cards likerancorin your cube and tell us our cubes are not fun because we run all good cards. you do run a broken card combo in phantom nomadorphantom tiger and any sort of pump enchantment or artifact, they become indestructible and "unfun" in your words.
you do have interesting cards the rest of us don't run, that doesn't make your cube bad just different. I do really like the push for goblin tribal in goblin caves and goblin shrine seem fun but probably to slow, I don't know I've never tried tribal in cube.
try to be more understanding of where we are coming from and be more accepting and grateful for advice, we play and test every card in our cubes and know when things under perform, we know when certain archetypes need help or when others need nerfing, this all comes back to experience and balance. we are building different cubes then you so that makes it harder to give advice, I would say you are an "unpowered" cube which is what you are going for I think.
Please stop being confrontational and we can all get along.

flood is good but not overly good if your cube is ballanced, it will be good vs midrange beetstick decks, ok vs other control decks with just a few creatures, and terrible vs agro with loads of creatures, and terrible vs tokens. but depending on the deck you build it will be better or worse in those match ups. hence why balance and deck building mean everything. but that is just from my experiance playing with and playing against the card. your millage will/may vary depending on your cube and players.

I tried defending saltmaster for his differnt cube but the more this goes on I realize that that was a mistake. as one of the top players and deck builders back when I played competative at my LGS I'm shocked that you would say this game is 60% luck, those are the words of someone who doesn't know what they are doing, sure top decking the card you need to win is luck but getting to the point where all you need is one card that you specificaly put in your deck to win is skill, there is some luck involved but I would say 90% of the game is skill and knowledge of other cards and the meta. I'm sorry but the way you compare cards to each other is so wrong, just because a card has simmilar effect doesn't make it as good as a top card. If you want to run the cards you like that's fine but you can't come in here and flame on everyone for knowing what is actually good and giving you advise. now I'm sounding like the judgmental standard or modern magic player that calls you out for having a bad deck just because you lost or becasue you wanted to try something different, everyone is trying to be helpfull but you are ignoring the help and saying they are wrong.

I feel bad for saltmaster. I was one of the top players in town and would only play the best decks(jund, Junk, Birthingpod, mono white tokens, blue black control, delver, etc....). I tried coming back to tournements but got ridiculed for playing the decks that I played because they were home brews and not top teir decks. Most magic players are very judgemental of people playing whats fun vs whats good. I built my cube after seeing Adam's cube and I still think his is one of the most balanced cubes between fun cards and good cards. I personaly don't like a "powered" pauper cube because you are ending up just craming the best cards into a cube and ruining the fun of drafting and deck building. I feel pauper cubes should feel more like a standard draft(I'm running this 2/2 for 2b because I need to fill my curve and thats all I got). But it is still a game and it is meant to be fun so if you or your players aren't having fun with the cube you can change it.
