"She has no idea that you are the firebreathing thing. And she doesn't seem like the kind of person who would ask enough questions to figure it out either. If you change forms, and remove some part of yourself, does it come back when you shift?" Jougo asked.
"I agree Colt. That does sound good. And for suggesting it I will actually make sure that you get paid too. So, kid, what can you give me that is some trophy that we can present to the widow to show that you're not alive anymore? It probably has to be able to react with this thing," jougo says as he holds up the marker, "as it reacts to your presence."
"Right, well, that's not what your being painted as. There is a price on your head. I wanted that price, until I found out that you were a peacekeeper. You are being accused of killing someone's husband and she want revenge. You should probably do something about that. As for me, I am now not going to get paid for a bunch of work. When you were there, did you take anything from the other arena? Because if so, I might accept that as payment." Jougo said, clearly slightly agitated at the situation.
Jougo casually calls over his shoulder "Not anymore. Scram." He focused on Arl. "Are you a shapeshifting firebreathing lizard who recently killed some slavers and slaves that were part of a fighting arena as well?" He also pulled out the thing that is supposed to inform him if he is near the creature.
Jougo ignores the sentences and presses the bell a few more times, just to make sure. He then sees Colt. And a rainbow haired child. He ignores whatever happens at the gate and turns his attention to her. "Hey, kid, are you the rainbow haired peacekeeper?" Tact was clearly not his approach.
As she does, her talon is covered in light. it sheds enough light that she has no Shades on her, but it does not spread to Yack.
Illu casts Corona Grasp with droplight and finds that the areas where the light drips glow briefly. He also is free of Shades, and so are the spots where the droplets land.
Jougo approached the estate where they knew their target should be. He went up and attempted to approach the door or ring a bell to see if he could get to talk to the owner.
As Locke thought about making the light into a beam to shine at the shades, he saw an amazing thing. Suddenly there was a light that was too bright to look at directly that shone forth from the orb in a focused beam. In its formation he saw that it sliced a line clean through the Shades that were in front of where he was staying. It also seemed to leave a slightly glowing trail in its wake along the ground that the shades were not touching.
He nodded.
Light Boy - "You can use it to materialize pure light. If you can think of a way to use it, the orb will do its best to follow through. Individual weapons though probably won't be that much help aside from right now while they are piled everywhere. The shades are quick and will dodge most strikes. I would suggest using your imaginations to look for something besides brute force."
In an attempt to help, Jebidiah waited for Darla's strike to connect/miss then threw his silken dagger and had it burst into webbing before impact hoping to entangle the thing. He also shot an arrow hoping to distract it even the tiniest bit from his allies.
