Hello I have a question. Specifically how the Strionic Resonator can work with Kinship Cards.
If I have a Leaf Crowned Elder in play, and the Kinship triggers at the beginning of my upkeep,
can I look at the top card of my library first? If I see that it's a creature card, I pay 2 and tap strionic in response targetting the kinship trigger in order to get another Kinship ability on the stack and continue to resolve the 1st kinship?
If it's not a creature card I won't tap strionic.
Can I do the copying of the triggered ability like this? (basically, I want to avoid copying kinships that will eventually go to waste)
1] I choose to trigger the Descendant's Path first,
2] I see that it's not a card that I can play for free,
3] I copy the said ability with the resonator,
4] I put the top card at the bottom of my library (resolve descendant's),
5] I choose to trigger the 1st leaf-crowned elders ability next,
6] I see that it's still not a card I can play for free (it gets placed back on top),
7] I know that the next leaf-crowned trigger will be wasted so,
8] I choose to do the copied descendant's path trigger first so I can put the non-creature card at the bottom of my library,
9] Then I choose to trigger the remaining leaf-crowned elder ability so I can have another chance at getting a free creature.
What do you guys think? (I am still a noob when it comes to the stack)
Swap Heartless for Stinkdrinker Bandit and use BoP and other mana dorks to ramp out the Hamletback. Throw in some Fog effects to stall the ground and put in Fling to get that Hamletback to deal some serious damage. Inferno Titan is another solid addition, and if you are going with a tribal theme, Cavern of Souls is a must have. If you want to do a double tribal theme and throw in Goblins with Giants, Krenko, Mob Boss is worth considering as he would compliment the Hamletback well as would other goblin token generators.
I see, thanks for the card suggestions. I'll try to cook something up at cockatrice. I definitely see where you are going with these cards
Hello! This is going to be my first time creating a thread. I am here to ask for input on which cards could be added to creating a deck that makes use of Hamletback Goliath + Fungal Sprouting as a win con
+
I quickly tried to create a deck in Cockatrice. To make Hamlet easier to cast I added 4 Semblance Anvils. I tested it and it kinda worked. But it was hard to rely on semblance alone so I tried adding Heartless Summonings as well.
Basically what I cooked up in Cockatrice was an accelerated Giant Deck.
here's a basic list (ignore the quantities of each card as I just kept adding 4 of each)
Hello I have a follow up question to this, if you have a Quest for Pure Flame in play with 3 quest counters on it and you have a Markov Blademaster that has double strike, and you have other non-double/first strike creatures attacking, can you assign the 1st strike damage of Markov, put a quest counter on Quest for Pure Flame, and Sac it immediately to make the 2nd hit of Markov and the other creatures hits do double damage?
Edit: Also do double strike creatures give Quest for Pure Flame 2 quest counters?
Hello, Your deck here is quite interesting. My friend Sesordereht is already building his own version of your deck. I told him before about using Forbidden Orchard to help keep Porphyry Nodes in play.
I also saw an enchantment card that might solve those pesky shufflers and help in locking the opponent down some more.
It makes opponents' fetchlands, or any tutor they might have, a liability, it can also be used as a combo for the Sacrifice Shuffle of Lantern of Insight
Assuming that your opponent tries to Cancel your Silence before it got eaten; shoot me doesn`t really matter
(i) Yes it does, you`ll get a copy of both Twincast and Cancel, as the ability doesn`t target, it`ll merely find that your Silence is missing and thus will not be able to remove it (thus also not leaving it for being copied later on) - or, if your opponent let EotS eat your Silence first, nothing special happens, but from your post, it should be safe to assume that it`s scenario (a)
(ii) No it doesn`t, because you don`t get to cast any spells from EotS, you get to copy them, which is an entire different thing, and isn`t subject to Silence.
Hmm, based on the gatherer,
The oracle text :
"Whenever a player casts an instant or sorcery card, exile it. Then that player copies each instant or sorcery card exiled with Eye of the Storm. For each copy, the player may cast the copy without paying its mana cost."
is different from its printed text :
"Whenever a player plays an instant or sorcery card, remove it from the game. Then that player copies each instant or sorcery card removed from the game with Eye of the Storm. For each copy, the player may play the copy without paying its mana cost."
does (ii) still stand true if you follow the Oracle text?

EDIT:
Also, Can I do this?
2 Leaf-Crowned Elders in play, Descendant's Path in play, Strionic Resonator in play

You can also check some Flash enchantments like
Blessing of Leeches
Epic Proportions
or heck any enchantment like
Canopy Cover / Shielding Plax (which would make him like a boggle already xD)
Battle Mastery
I see, thanks for the card suggestions. I'll try to cook something up at cockatrice. I definitely see where you are going with these cards
Oh yeah.. forgot about heartless' -1/-1. But do the saprolings still count as entered the battlefield when heartless is online?
Any card suggestions?

4x Borderland Behemoth
4x Palisade Giant
4x Bloodfray Giant
4x Rancor
4x Fling
Now the problem is how to make it a working deck. Which cards to add/replace to make it playable?

This card that I saw is Psychic Surgery
