a few of my thoughts:
1. I needed to play White just for playables.
2. Should I have played Green over Red? Less removal, but at least I would have had some finishers. Seismic Elemental did win me a single game, but most of my wins came because I was faster, not because I had an end-game.
3. Maybe I should have played Mage-Ring Responder, for some reason I thought he came into play tapped...
Opened a rather weak pool in terms of creatures, had lots of removal though. Went RW aggro with my curve topping out at 5 (Seismic Elemental and Knightly Valor).
I would like some help deciding what color to play.
At first, I was going to choose white because it seems to have decent removal, and the best commons and uncommons overall. Then, I switched to Green because it seemed to be a good "support" color for 3 different archetypes I felt I would probably lean towards playing if possible, WG Renown, GB Elves, and GR ramp/big creatures. Also, on the off-chance I get a Nissa, I've essentially made my money back (or even a profit)> I also chose green because it would have creatures with reach, which could potentially block all those Thopter tokens I expect to be flying around.
However, after reading the review by LSV, and a few other posts about Green, I think it might be one of the weaker colors, and perhaps I should stick to White, or even Red for my seed.
What do you guys think?
I walked into my shop today to preregister for the midnight prerelease with intentions of picking Green for my seed.
Somehow by the time I walked out I had decided on white. Green does look strong to me though.
Gideon has the same price. But really, you're probably going to enjoy limited more if you treat it as an experience and try not to worry about whether you "made your money back".
mtggoldfish has Gideon as $10 cheaper than Nissa.
I don't collect paper cards anymore so was planning on flipping my cards immediately so that does influence my decision.
How do you figure out cards that are included in seeded boosters? Do you have any list?
Right now, the seeded boosters include 1 on color rare, 2 on color uncommons and 5 on color commons. They are just randomly selected because I don't have additional info on pack contents.
The seeded boosters don't seem to be working right for me. It does *seem* like it's always giving me an on-color rare, but I still only have 6 rares total. 84 cards total (should be 91?)
also, Thunderclap Wyvern seems to be treated as an Artifact not Gold.
Half of the mediocre targets you listed aren't Auras. I am not high on Hartebeest. It will be a decent card, but I don't think I'll want to pick it P1P1.
Everybody has until Apr 1st to finish their matches from the last two IQs.

Don't remember what the other 6 were, sorry.
(I also was never able to get it to trigger all night)
Ended up 3-2.
All bunk rares. Ended up playing 3 of them, Molten Vortex, Scab-Clan Berserker, and my promo Knight of the White Orchid

Might be an issue on my side, but I saved my pool as a .cod, tried to load to Cockatrice but it wouldn't load...

Probably.
I generated a bunch of 6-packs and never saw one, then hit a 12-pack and ripped 2 Chandras and a Kytheon.
edit: Speedbump wins, 2-1

edit: I won 2-0, in a naya vs naya mirror-ish match
