I don't like it... MTG is slowly becoming a multi-player solitarie game...

"Oh, you cannot counter my spell because it cannot be countered"
"Oh, you cannot target my dude... but surely I can"
"Oh, you cannot kill my Legend but I get to chose the one I want"
"Oh, you cannot kill my PW but I get to chose the one I want"

I agree. I understand it appeals to the noobs more and the overwhelming majority of Wizard's money comes from noobs, but it's still a shame.

My favorite format is Legacy and I really dislike this change because it will make Jace and Jitte even more unstoppable than they already are.

From a flavor standpoint, this makes less than 0 sense. You're telling me that I can't have two of the same legend on my field because they are a unique person, but there can be two of the same legend on the battlefield because they are NOT a unique person? We have to just accept the legend type as being purely arbitrary from this point forward.

From a "interactive" standpoint, this change is terrible. People seem to be making the claim that this change makes the game MORE interactive because it allows both players to play all their cards. They're wrong. Interactive Magic is where you have to look at your opponent to form your strategy and decide what you can and can't play. It's where what you're doing has an (interactive) effect on your opponent's stuff. Not interactive magic is when you can ignore what your opponent is doing and just play solitaire throwing stuff from your hand to the field. This change is a move away from interactive Magic.

I recently discovered Vicious Shadows in someone's trade binder, and I had to give it a try. Now, I know that 7 mana in the upper right corner is a bit of a turn off, but just think of how much stuff dies in your average game of EDH. How many times do you personally wipe the board with Jaya? Turns out you can do bonkers damage with this thing once it arrives.

you might want to look into this:

It seems like you want to end up in the same place Weebo did, and his lists are always helpful.

I've been using Vandalblast, and it has been a huge blowout just about every time I've seen it. I also tossed in a Forbidden Orchard to combo with Repercussion Blasphemous Act kills, which has been amusingly effective. With Furnace of Rath, one token is enough to kill someone who would otherwise have 0 creatures.

I saw this list a few months ago and started putting it together, because it looked amazing. And it has been amazing, I love it. Just wanted to thank you, Weebo, and let you know Jaya has another fan.

It sound pretty ambitious, but im not that experienced. Is the 4 gitaxian probes actually a good idea to have in elves?

I've actually been having success against terminus decks using 3x Gitaxian Probe and 3x Cabal Therapy main. The probe doesn't cost card advantage to use, and it lets me know what I need to play around, plus it's best friends with Therapy. We are already in black anyway for Deathrite Shaman, and it's actually backbreaking to t1 Therapy naming Brainstorm most blue decks. Late game, I'm trying to grind out a win, I usually have 2-3 manadorks who are amazing fodder for Therapy flashbacks.

Have you tried Staff of Nin? It's pricey, easily removed, and the ping isn't too relevant but it does draw you a card every turn, which it seems the deck would hugely benefit from.
