In regards to the "only one episode left" issue, that is incorrect. Yes, on the story tab it only shows 8, but near the beginning of that page's existence they did show all 14 stories. Don't worry, the next episode is not the last one, they just haven't updated the page, and more than likely will do so next week.

Also, in regards to the brochure... who cares. They've already clearly stated that they are trying to make the story accessible to everyone. The brochure is meant for those that don't read, or don't want to read, the UR's and that's fine. Also in my mind, knowing the plot points doesn't really spoil anything for me personally. For me, actually seeing/reading a story unfold is the most enjoyable part.

Its like with the new movie coming out today, The Martian, with the Trailers you already pretty much knew how the story was going to play out. But, according to the critics, everything that happens within that movie is great and worthy of seeing even though everyone pretty much already knows how the story will go. Another example for me I can give is with Pacific Rim. Other than the Kaiju, I had no interest in ever seeing that movie in theaters, so I was happy to hear others talking about the plot points. And then when I finally saw the movie on HBO, I sat down, enjoyed the storyline, and also the Kaiju. Maybe this is just how I am, the fat pack brochure spoiling the main details doesn't take away the thrill I'll have from experiencing the writing play out.

I do understand everyone's concerns though, but personally, this isn't really that big of an issue, if you didn't want to be spoiled, then you shouldn't have read this forum.

That was a great summary, I never got the chance to read the Teeth of Akoum (and hearing about how bad it was, didn't go out of my way to) but I'm glad this exists to summarize it. I actually kind of like the idea of Sorin singing when he casts spells in fights, almost like how serial killers will hum or whistle a tune while walking up to someone or in process of chopping them to pieces. Actually, overall it seems like if I read the book, Sorin would be my favorite part of it with that line you quoted being a hilarious way of him saying 'Peace, I'm out, good luck morons!'

Absolutely loved this Episode, can't wait to see Kiora banter with Gideon. Also, next week's episode preview is up as well.
Convinced that the soul of the world retreated to Khalni Heart, Nissa returns to her home continent of Bala Ged for the first time since it fell to the Eldrazi scourge in hopes of finding the new bloom of the powerful flower and Zendikar's soul. While there, she is bombarded with memories of her past and confronted with the missteps she made since she last set foot in her village. Unwilling to revert to being the same elf she was in her youth, Nissa resists tapping into her deepest powers, afraid of falling into old, familiar patterns.

But when she comes face to face with the demon who uprooted Khalni Heart and he threatens to destroy Zendikar's soul, she has no choice but to unleash her true essence and trust herself to do the right thing.

My oh My, we finally get to see what Ob Nixilis will be up to.

Wait, I thought that Jace had gone to Zendikar because he was looking at images of the Scroll while in Ravnica, and when Garruk came to get information about Liliana, Garruk mentioned to Jace upon leaving that the scroll writings he's looking at are from Zendikar, and that's what prompted him to go.

Tiny but violent plane from planechase, the one with stadium and leviathan: just for aesthetics, it seems.

    Segovia? Segovian Leviathan

Also, you guys have no idea how badly I want Ravnica to be expanded upon. I was happy that the UR with Jace and Lily recently that they went to the 2nd district rather than the 10th. It seems like EVERYTHING happens in the 10th district for some reason. If I could think of a plane that deserves a map as well its Ravnica, there are so many places, places within places, its hard to keep it organized (though I've personally been trying to.)

I guess I'm in the small demographic that enjoys a good amount of the stories. I can agree with some of the issues poised, I do think that it didn't get to me emotionally like some of the past stories had, though I do sympathize with the poor goblin, and wish that they had Nissa think back to when those two trees had their tragic moment.

Anyways, summary for the next Episode is up as well.

The merfolk Planeswalker Kiora returns to Zendikar wielding a stolen prize of great power: the bident of Thassa, god of the sea on the plane of Theros. But her escape was a narrow one, her strength drained, and her people scattered. The merfolk of Zendikar face their own gods risen against them, a mockery of everything they once held dear, and hope is hard to come by. But Kiora is no stranger to defying the gods.

I'm excited for Kiora being a badass.

New story is up, the plot thickens. Ob Nixilis coming up.

But I thought that the Khalni Heart was in Akoum, not in Bala Ged?

    http://archive.wizards.com/Magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/stf/73

But... that article only mentions the location of the Khalni Stone, not the Khalni Heart. The article never mentions where the Khalni Heart is. Maybe the stone is something made from the Heart that was moved to Akoum long ago, but I don't consider this a retcon if they didn't specifically mention the Khalni Heart.

I also agree with the majority. Excellent battle that could have gone either way, great establishing of a mono-black hero/protagonist, and a nice reprieve whipping back and forth and planeswalker shenanigans. Next week's synopsis is up as well and it looks like Nissa is having another identity crisis episode.
Lost and alone after the power of Zendikar was ripped away from her, Nissa must decide if she will stay on her home plane and search for her friend, the world's soul, or leave and take the last seeds of Zendikar's extinct trees with her to another plane. Though she doesn't want to give up hope, it's becoming harder and harder for her to justify risking both her life and the future of the seeds she carries in her pocket. When a swarm of Eldrazi descends upon her, threatening to overwhelm her, Nissa is forced to ask herself the question she has been trying to avoid answering: Is Zendikar really gone?

On the bright side though, Kiora's story is two weeks from now. Yay!

As a man who has built a Drana EDH deck that he plays at every chance, has argued with his other Vampire EDH friend about why Drana is better than Olivia Voldaren and who has been waiting for any shred of Drana story having only gotten into Magic during Dark Ascension and finding nothing about her storywise online, where did you find that story preview? Because I need this story and a new legendary version of her in my life SOOOO badly. I mean, my avatar is my extended art foil EDH copy of her, for crying out loud! I don't need much in my life; just more Drana and Nahiri.

Right here good sir. The title of the Episode this summary is from is called, Memories of Blood, and it will come out next week.

Drana's card has already been spoiled

I've been avoiding those types of spoilers, I want to actually see the card, not read about it. Although I'm excited for the card either way.

I personally enjoyed this story, but I'm a bit more excited for next week's tale. It may or may not tie into what our Planeswalker protagonists are up to, but the synopsis appears like we'll get a reprieve from what is going on with Gideon.

Drana successfully led a revolt liberating her vampires in Malakir from the call of the Eldrazi, which threatened to take away their autonomy and identity. Their reward is to be hunted down by the growing hordes of Eldrazi overrunning the continent of Guul Draz. Time, and room to escape, is running out.

We get to see what Drana is up to, yay! Maybe this means we'll get a Drana Legendary card.

I'm really ashamed of my self as a Vorthos but I seemed to have missed this. But when did the other two titans leave Zendikar? Someone was telling me this a year ago but didn't have a source and now it seems to be true. Was there some uncharted realms or something?

No. It's been basically speculative the whole time but over the weekend it was said that Ulamog was the only one on Zendikar. When Nissa released the seal that kept them bound to Zendikar the titans stuck around for a while then, at least as I understand it, Emrakul and Kozilek just kind of disappeared.

Actually, the first mention of the other two titans leaving Zendikar was mentioned in last year's Checking In on the Planeswalkers in the blurb about Gideon's happenings.
Seeking allies to defeat the Eldrazi. In the two years since the voracious Eldrazi arose, Gideon has been on a mission to gather Planeswalkers to help stop them. Zendikar is not Gideon's home plane, but he knows the Eldrazi could threaten lives across many planes. He wants to take them head-on, and that means he'll need powerful compatriots at his side. The Eldrazi titans have made few appearances on Zendikar lately, and may actually have moved off into the Blind Eternities. But the brood lineages of Eldrazi spawn still threaten the plane, and Gideon intends to return as soon as he can.

FYI Ayli from the story seems to be from Eldrazi Monument and Hand of Emrakul.

I would have never caught. That's amazing! Continuing to use a crazy cleric character for crazy cult shenanigans.

Can I just say how much I love the art of this Eldrazi just chillen' indian style on the ground, munching on some heads?

OH and playing with the water with one of his left hands.

Ghan-drazi is definitely one of my favorite arts in the entire set, can't wait to see what card it is on.

And as for retcons in general, I at least remembered their change to the Mirrodin storyline to be quite transparent. And while I don't want to get too off topic, are there any other recent retcons that may have occurred that flown under our radar?

I don't know about this being directly a retcon or just something they finally elaborated on. But with one of the articles from Origins that explained somewhat briefly the 10 Planes of Origins, under the Ravnica section they reference that some of the original Ravnica Trilogy events happened when Jace was already a Planeswalker.

To my knowledge, it has never been mentioned if the events of the Ravnica block were Pre or Post Mending. So even though the Ravnica Block sets and storyline was released before Time Spiral block, it doesn't mean that the Ravnica Trilogy had to be Pre-Mending. Its not exactly a retcon if we never had a specific date of the story in the first place.

EDIT: For the record, I personally believe that it was only the Guildpact and Dissension novels that could have happened if Jace was already Planeswalking, since the time between Ravnica: City of Guilds and Guildpact novels is a 12 year gap. This also doesn't contradict too much with Ravnica being able to build itself back up, since Jace became a planeswalker at 15 years of age, that could mean that Jace was pretty young into his Walker adventures when the events of Guildpact and Dissension happened.
