Not only is the UR out, we have a summary of next week's episode.

When Sea Gate was overrun, Gideon helped Commander Vorik and his army evacuate to safety. Now Vorik's injuries threaten his life, and Gideon feels responsible for the survival of the commander's army. But with the Eldrazi swarms ceaselessly growing and spreading across the land, Gideon fears that, unless something changes, survival on Zendikar will soon become impossible.

I can't wait for what will happen when Ulamog attacks the camp, will Jori En be able to warn them in time? Will they have enough time to escape the floating rock? Also, Jace making illusion fire is quite great, its a very Jace way of escaping a situation.

While the story was good, I do have one question; why can't Jace just Planeswalk to the Eye? He said he could 'walk back to Sea Gate and he has been to the Eye.

The reason he didn't do it in the story was because of not wanting to leave Jori En behind. But, now that he doesn't have to worry about that he either will A. Go ahead and Planeswalk there now, or B. Not actually know where exactly the Eye of Ugin is to Planeswalk there. He knows how to get to Sea Gate since he's presumably been there a couple of times before, so I wouldn't be surprised if he actually can't get to the Eye of Ugin through Planeswalking since he's only been there once.

Don't worry about Kiora guys, she's got pretty Planeswalker looking artwork on the booster packs

    Battle for Zendikar Packaging

Along with Ob Nixilis, Gideon, Random Eldrazi, and the GW Ally from the Zendikar vs. Eldrazi DD (don't remember his name, didn't look it up). From the art of her presented I'm positive she's getting a Planeswalker card in BFZ.

Whenever we discuss Ravnica are we going to speculate on when the original Ravnica trilogy happened lore wise? From one of the articles a few months back it seemed to elude to at least the final 2 books of the original trilogy happening after Jace first became a Planeswalker. I've been going through the books on my spare time to see if anything contradicts this but I haven't actually found anything.
Oh yeah. Ravnica will be on our agenda, but it's a tough one because it's now the 'hub world', so we have to separate what is important to Ravnica's story versus what just happens to occur on Ravnica. I can't guarantee when that will happen, though. I'm thinking I'll post the next topic we'll tackle once an article drops, giving the community time to give some input.

Sweet, I'd be happy to help research whatever it needed, I have all of the books that have events in Ravnica, the original trilogy, Agents of Artifice, the Secretist all three parts, and of course the internet to find whatever other UR, Savor the Flavor, or etc... I'd need. Also, I have Test of Metal, I haven't read all he way through it yet so I don't know if Ravnica is a place Tezz goes to in there.

Someone just asked about when we would see Chandra in the BFZ storyline and elicited a non-answer from the panel.

Poo, I've been desperately waiting for someone to ask in one of the panels if the (sexual tension filled) interactions between Gideon and Chandra from the Purifying Fire were still canon. I know that the original Origin Story of Chandra was retconned somewhat keeping the base important details, but with no one at any of the panels thus far discussing why Gideon originally went to Zendikar bothers me.

Anyways, yes I personally can't wait to see some type of plot where they hunt down the other two Titans through the Multiverse, saving Emrakul for last of course.

I did have the twitch stream open for the World Building panel, but sadly dozed off. Ironically I woke up to hear about Oath of the Gatewatch. I think it is awesome, and love how the four different arts of the planes walkers holding their hands up differ so much (looking at you Nissa the Star Trek fan).

But I have a question, when they revealed the images, the mentioned someone had asked about Chandra, what exactly about Chandra did they ask? I missed it, and it seems it was not put up as a live stream tweet.

Ugin himself isn't particularly well explained, so you can forge a path there. It wouldn't really make sense to have the character be present when the cocoon is formed, since that was 1280 years ago, but I guess you could say you were present when the cocoon starts to open up and something happened to your arm so that it is only visible by those who are gifted with the eye of Ugin. Depending on whatever other magical effects you envision yourself producing, maybe this could unlock an invisible form of that magic.

I was thinking of a solution similar to this. My character is from Zendikar (because that is legitimately when I took interest in the game and learned to play) and after some training she tries to find help, and also is interested in Dragons, so naturally she would go to Tarkir for the Dragons, and stay for the Hedron cocoon she hears tellings about.

I'm thinking, when she gets there she's in the ravine, and is exploring it, climbing on top of it as adventurous Zendikari do. But when Sorin is opening the cocoon, she tries to jump off, but one of her arms gets caught in between two Hedrons, ultimately getting cut off when the cocoon bursts open, but also infused with magic from the occurrence.

If you guys need to establish any timeline specifics, I can try to go back and re-calculate my "Post-Mending Timeline Formula." I feel that with the newer information about Jace having been on Ravnica for... some of the events of the original Ravnica block books, I could make an accurate time table as to the year everything is occurring in Dominarian years, if we're still basing the timeline on Dominarian years.

... Also, I just thought of something that would be a good question to ask Creative at some point. When they mentioned it has been 2 years since the Eldrazi were released in the Magic storyline, are they going by Dominarian years or by Ravnica years?

Hello, I'm new to the Personal Writing section and am trying to create what I would call, my Planeswalker self. Essentially its my experience with Magic translated with the lore of Magic. One problem I ran into while thinking up the character is during the events of Khans of Tarkir block, I wanted my character to somehow get one of their arms cut off by the Hedron cocoon around Ugin, then because of it get an upgrade with a Ugin colored spirit arm.

My problem is, I want to be as accurate towards the lore as I can be, and though I have been following it for years now I can't quite think of the most rational way for this to occur. Anyone have any thoughts on the matter? I'd love other opinions.

As a note: If I've placed this in the incorrect thread, I apologized as I reasoned this to be the correct thread as this issue does not directly contribute to the official lore of Magic. If there is a better thread for this topic, I'd be eternally grateful for this thread to be moved.

Anybody else check out the BFZ Story Hub page? It has titles to the next five Uncharted Realms stories, along with a preview of next week's:

The only reason Jace is here on Zendikar is to continue where researchers at Sea Gate left off—to discover how the mysterious stone hedrons throughout the plane can be used as a weapon against the Eldrazi. After conferring with the merfolk explorer Jori En, they decide to journey to the Eye of Ugin to complete Jace’s study. On the way, they encounter a group of pilgrims who have an unusual—and deadly—relationship to the Eldrazi.

Also, Episode 7 is titled, "Home Waters" with a preview image that, once the brightness and contrast are adjusted, looks an awful lot like a certain merfolk planeswalker's "hair", no?

-.- Way to get one up'd, I posted something like this yesterday. Any who, the Home Waters wasn't there when I looked, definitely Kiora, I wouldn't doubt it.

I would be surprised if it wasn't Ob Nixilis. That little scamp was up to something serious involving the plane itself when we last saw him.

I just re-read the Ob Nixilis story about him finding the the green and gold flower beneath deep beneath the surface. I'm wondering if he finally destroyed the flower and if that was the power source for green mana on Zendikar. That would be awesome if so, and hopefully soon we'll get to have a story with Ob Nixilis and what he's up to.

I quite enjoyed this story. The beginning bit of how connected Nissa was to Zendikar, how because of a decision to save as many as possible, the Heart Tree has to experience loneliness, Nissa losing her connection and having to experience her friend Groot... i mean Ashaya crumble before her. Plus, having Gideon and Nissa talk to each other, I wonder if Jace will try to theorize what happened to Nissa. Should be interesting.

    1. Yes, although we are not sure as to how many members are left, at the very least we know that Koth is still there resisting the Phyrexians.

    2. Re-visiting Dominaria, maybe. The state of the plane has improved since the events of Time Spiral block, but there isn't any real reason for us to go back there plot wise but its always possible.

    3. Do you mean specifically on Kamigawa or on all the planes? Some members of the forum believe that one of the planes we've visited will be attacked and eaten by either Emrakul or Kozilek. Overall, with how they have changed their story telling, it will be a more connected plot line. So any returns to planes we'll see will be planes involved in the storyline.
