1) If I +1 Domri Rade and reveal Thassa, can I place her in my hand if my devotion to blue is less than 5?
2) If I play Thassa with an Experiment One at 4/4, and my devotion to blue is less than 5, does she evolve experiment one when she enters the battlefield?
Reading these forums on this card is funny. Fringe playable? Think outside 5 drops. Last time I check dropong a phoenix and zealot same turn on turn 3 is Very playable. And that was me thinking for 30 secs. This card is def standard playable w bte.
Turn 1 Mystic Turn 2 Satyr Turn 3 Overload Mizzium Mortars. I'll be on the draw, thanks.
Thanks Mr. Judge, I added a couple ricochets to my sideboard when I realized I could counter counterspells and wanted to nail down all the technical aspects of doing so. Thanks again.
If there are multiple spells already on the stack and my opponent plays a counterspell, someone then plays Wild Ricochet targeting the counter. Now, the way I theorize this interaction will work is that Wild Ricochet redirects the counterspell to itself. As the Wild Ricochet is on top of the stack, it is still in the process of resolving as the counterspell is redirected. It then copies the counterspell, finishes resolving, and leaves play. The counterspell that was re-directed now no longer has a legal target and goes to the graveyard, and you have an additional copied counterspell that may be targeted at another spell on the stack.
@Spazik008
In the situation I described, the bead was present from the previous soulbond. During the resolution of Cloudshift, I never touched the bead b/c I never touched the Thragtusk. My question is, can my opponent argue that the creatures were never re-bonded b/c I never took an action to acknowledge the trigger? Say I attack, is it legal for him to say "I take 5?" to trick me into forgetting?
This may help. It's actually kind of complicated and the guy in this article puts it as succinctly as possible.
Do you mean you put the bead back on the Thragtusk? I'm pretty sure unless yo uttered something like "soulbonded" or "I soulbond", etc then you're fine. You could easily say "oh I just put the bead back while deciding whether to soulbond.", if this rules-lawyering were to actually come up in a game.
The new rule with "missed triggers" is that you're not considered to have missed or not missed the trigger until the actual game state progresses. For example, if you draw a bunch of cards off Garruk Primal Hunter and then put a couple of them in your graveyard to get down to 7, you can't then go "Oh also and the trigger from XYZ" because you already moved from the main phase to the discard phase. But if in your example, you were to flicker the beast, put the bead down, then go "hmmm...no soul bond" or even just take the bead off and not say anything, you would be fine.
I like how more than 50% of people going to college are women, but "OMG we still really need female scholarships for some strange unexplainable reason!"
My question to you is, Why? What makes a five color deck better than a four color or even a three color one.
For black you have 2 sources which is essentially negligible even with Farseek. The only things that use it are flashing back Lingering and a sideboard Ultimate Price. Sure Lingering pairs well with Biomancer, but quite frankly everything will pair well with Biomancer if they don't have a boardwipe (something you may want to try is Hellkites or Aristocrat main since they are good without bio and insane with him.)
Four color is easily doable and dark naya is even seeing some promising results. Blue Naya (any better names?) is a solid choice too if you like the biomancer route.
Yes, I realize the black is a bit greedy (a bit as in ridiculously), but then to that I would say look at the mana base.
24 land doesn't seem like much with Boros Reckoner, Prime Speaker, and Garruk PH, but there are a few factors to consider here. First, no Kessig Wolf Run. The land is all devoted to mana. Then we have Cavern of Souls. Reckoner, Biomancer, and Prime Speaker are all wizards. With Cavern, going from reckoner to biomancer isn't as hard as it would look on paper. Finally, the black, if needed, can be tutored up with a farseek, so getting the single black to flashback souls isn't actually that hard. Yes, it is greedy, but most of the games flashing back lingering souls won't even come up, if it does come up you can farseek, and the combo of biomancer and 3/3 flying souls is too delicious to ignore.
TL,DR: Yes it seems ridiculously greedy, but i've been testing it pretty extensively on the computer and the tortured mana actually works... most of the time.
So basically yea this is probably the craziest thing I ever came up with but if you look at the synergy it's insane. Make 3/3 spirits with Biomancer and Lingering Souls, ramp into planeswalkers, Resto on Thrag, Resto on Prime Speaker, Prime Speaker and Biomancer, Biomancer and Thragtusk, Huntmaster and Biomancer, and then reckoner and domri. All the cards work with all the other cards to form a super insane force of unbeateable beaters.
The way to stop AIDS is with condoms or treatment.
And you're basing this on proof, or just pulling it out of your nether region? Because empirical evidence clearly shows that just "condoms and education" isn't working in Africa. Some parts of Africa have an 80% infection rate. I guess just drive out toss them another handful of condoms and pamphlets, right?
We need to stop educating these people and just sterilize them out of existence, clearly.
So keep doing things that don't work, is what you're saying?

Did I get it right, or no?
During your end step, if you did not cast a spell this turn, draw a card.
Just something that came to me while staring out the window.
