I've been doing thorough testing of Jund midrange decks (involving 3 olivid voldarens, etc, etc). The biggest problem I'm coming across is that it has just about no way to deal with the opponent doing whatever they want to on their side of the field.
Black and red have no way to deal with the opponent doing whatever they want on the other side of the field???
Have you ever heard of a card called "Lightning Bolt"?
I ran a deck very similar to this for the past couple months. Used Faith's Reward too to bring back all the enter the battlefield guys after combat, and I splashed red for bonfires instead of blue. It did okay but I wouldn't call it top tier. Matched up good against Delver but got rolled by Zombies and Birthing Pod. This is a solid tier 1.5 but don't expect to win any pro tours.
Wow, this is a really solid standard life gain deck. I would go far enough to call this top tier, I could imagine the life gain gives a very strong match-up against zombies.
I'd forget the cloudshift, I played green/white for a long time and that card rarely did what you pictured it doing. Rancor and S. Charm seem redundant, you'd only need to trample once with the avatar for the win. Maybe drop the 2 farseeks and 2 Fungal Sproutings for 4 S. Charms, since they can also be spot removal and a surprise 2 drop in a pinch.
See im gambling that birds will come back in Ravnica, because they've been in every core set except 9th, which was before Ravnica, and 13th, which is before Return to Ravnica.
Or if not birds, some reasonable any color replacement (loses flying, 2 cost, etc)
As far as the charm...haven't even seen that card yet. Have to look it up.
*looks up selesnya charm*
Oh nice. I might go -1 Faith's reward and -1 Cloudshift for that. possibly -1 oblivion ring too since the charm gives removal for fatties. The +2/+2 gives combat surprise so I guess i can afford to cycle out some tech for it
I'd go ahead and try to make something based a little off what you have seen out of the new set. This is definitely an ok start back though! Cloudshift is a cool card and you definitely have enough ETB guys to give it extra benefit. The new selesnya charm should replace it in a few weeks. I'd drop the Faith's Reward for another Oblivion Ring. I'd also start looking at the lands coming back in with RtR. That way you could eliminate the Evolving Wilds and that one mountain. Of course that completely depends on how casual you want to keep it or your money base.
Nice start back!
Money isn't a problem for me regarding cards. Funny you'd mention the evolving wilds. I have mixed feelings about them and might switch them out for whatever the W/G switch land is in RtR. I kind of like Evolving Wilds because in a sense it basically "deck shrinks" you down to 56 cards.
I've been playtesting today and have already gone -2 forest for +1 Borderland Ranger and +1 Plains. Faith's Reward I have mixed feelings about. It dead cards often, but when it doesn't dead card it literally wins the game. Another Oblivion Ring if I unsleeve Faith's Reward sounds like a good choice.

right yes, it's similar to what they call a "Naya" deck. I'm just getting back into magic, I've been taking a break since Time Spiral. I don't like using transformation cards because I don't think they should have been made. You'll note this deck also doesn't use any Scars of Mirrodin Cards. Part of that is because I think the whole "Phyrexian Mana" idea was a ridiculously bad and broken concept, but also so it's ready for standard in 3 weeks when Mirrodin shifts out.
I just beat a Blue White delver 2-1 with this build. He was playing the classic blue white Geist of Saint Traft and Hero of Bladehold splash with the standard 4 of's in vapor snag, snapcaster, Ponder, etc.
I call this build "Angry Birds", it's basically a birthing pod deck that has been modified into green ramp with white support, and a splash of red for 2 delicious game winning Bonfires (bonfire + rancor + birds of paradise = Angry Birds). I came up with it myself and am very proud. Enjoy!
