posted a message on B&R Update: Ironworks Banned, Hada Freeblade, Spatial Controtion, Circle of Flame banned in Pauper.
You need to know the game and be intelligent to win with KCI , WotC cannot let that be, everyone needs to be able to understand the game ...

Yea ... thats one way to phrase it, or let us simply call it "Dumb down the game".
If a combo involves more than 2 pieces its just way too complicated, cant let that be.

    ----

The reason to see KCI banned is simply to make the game more trivial to consume for the "streaming" of it in digital and events.
Its the kind of deck that appeals to people that play the deck and not so to viewers that barely understand the rules of the game in the first place / even commentators struggle to understand the deck or see whats happening.

They want the game to be more "visual" to the eyes of a newbie, so they look at the board state and assume whats going on.

Its literally dumb down the game , not that its a secret, but its still sad ...

Sit down, I'll go get your cheese mr edgelord.

If only Gates Ablaze were common - that would really enable a 5 color Gate control in Limited.
Yes because potential board wipes at common makes sense....

My brother and I designed the exact same card as arrester's adominition, however we had it at 2 CMC, not 3. I feel like any time there are spell based mechanics they almost ALWAYS over cost them from a modern point of view (I don't play a lot of standard). I was excited for Rebound and it was way overcosted on every card. I was excited for spell mastery and it stunk for the most part. I was excited for jump-start and it was underwhelming. Not all of the cards with those mechanics were bad, but non really affected modern. Now I was excited to get at least one decently costed addendum card, but again most of them seem overcosted. I figured the bounce spell would be the most "safe" card to push a bit in terms of using addendum because it doesn't fit into every deck, but I was wrong. I think my standards too high because I play modern almost solely. However, it seems like the creature based mechanics are pushed every set and the spell based mechanics get the shaft. I may just have too high of standards because I play modern delver.

With that said, this should be a good limited card and could see some standard play.

Sounds like you should play Standard

So I guess this is insane in every format? As a commander it is so good it's almost boring.

It's more or less as good as Birthing Pod was, with the caveat that it's more vulnerable to removal.

It is impossible to remove from the game.

    This card is really dumb.

    Lame. So, so lame.

Hopefully this gets banned in EDH in a hurry.

In other words, she wants her folks to attack and die hard. Unearth works nicely with her as well as Whip of Erebos. Give Judith deathtouch and her 1 damage would kill instantly. Either let my creatures through, or die in my hand by blocking them.

    Just give her infect.

    God I hate infect.

I like the idea but they really just become super enchantments.

The clear delineation between Enchantments and Plainswalkers is nice.

A mechanic that has been used once before, and already has a good 20-40% of the previous cards with it seeing actual play, and when reintroduced now has the very first instant-speed version of a powerful, iconic effect, is not, I would think, a failure of a mechanic by the metric of how many cards of a given mechanic actually see real play.

I'm sure you made some good points but I stopped reading your novella after I got to the above sentence. No sentence should ever contain over 60 words.

Maybe spend less time on twitter and more time reading books?

I told you bro yesterday. MARO flat out said we did are best to keep Teferi down despite that rule never applying to other powerful walkers but now control must be kept down. Look if WOTC doesn't like control fine but then they need to stop wimping out and fully rebalance color pie so every color gets better creatures.

Teferi, Hero of Dominaria is pretty busted. Definitely a problem card in Standard.

Unfortunately, sounds like you are going to have to work a little for your wins. Woe is you indeed.
