That's what Bobby is for.
Feb 2, 2014Posted in: ModernQuote from ArskaWhat if you're just keeping track of mana verbally? Or if you and your opponent somehow get confused during Eggs going off?
That would fall under tournament rules and would probably result in a sanction just for doing that, let alone "losing tack" of it.
Feb 2, 2014Posted in: ModernQuote from MoaI think making land destruction or general resource denial and attrition more powerful would be cool. I love prison decks and would love to see it get pushed enough to spawn a t 1.5ish deck.
WotC have this idea of what MTG "should" be and that does not include Prison or Dredge.

A die would most certainly be a nogo at any sort of mid to high level competitive event. You'd need BOTH players to be recording it on paper.

The same reason why the stop Prison decks or Dredge. They have this notion of what MTG should be and up yours to anyone who wants to play otherwise.
Jan 30, 2014Posted in: ModernQuote from draftguy2Skulclamp unbanned, it has a lot of potential to open up the format to many new and interesting decks, It would give aggro the push it needs to remain relevent in the format.
No, no it wouldn't. As someone who's first experience of MTG was Mirrodin era standard, Skullclamp needs to not only remain banned, but for WotC to hire Ninjas to physically destroy every single printed card.
Jan 27, 2014Posted in: ModernQuote from Ty247Just a thought, but why wouldn't they ban Tarmogoyf?
The card itself is in a sense, a two-drop Wild Nacatyl; it's insanely under-cost especially for the rate at which it can grow.
It's basically format warping/defining from the standpoint of there isn't a better two drop.
If you're playing anything with green, there's few-to-none reason's to play another creature over it, and there are few reasons why you wouldn't want to splash green solely for it.
Maybe I'm crazy, but it's kind of a nuisance.. imho
Literally one deck in the format runs Tarmo and even then it's often cut.
Jan 26, 2014I would love to see Grave Troll and Visions Unbanned, but WotC hates their own game.Posted in: Modern

With power creep the way it's going Nacatl isn't nearly as good of a creature as he used to be ans will probably be outclassed soon. Sword is an easily disrupted slow combo. When you can easily win on the spot with other 2 card combos like Splinter Twin, how is Sword bannable?
Nactal prevents any other agro strat other than WRG, They have the data to show this and so it's banned.
Meek simply draws out games and is a prison-like deck, which WotC deams "unfun".

-Sword of The Meek
AV and GGT can come off without a problem. Bitterblossom is edge case but it might come off. Meek and Nactal will NEVER come off.

He gave you a perfectly legitimate response about his consistency philosophy. You just don't agree with his position, so you are trying to delegitimize his stance. If you don't agree with something, then be transparent about that. It feels as if you are trying to misconstrue a situation to suit your tastes.
I do disagree because it's inconstant and illogical. I am calling him out on it.
