Although I agree with what the other posters, and your personal post is implying, they didn't outrite state that, as said here. I recall them having a livestream earlier last month with Core 2021 I believe where they said one more piece of artwork from Terese was coming back (a reprint) for Zendikar Rising, but I may be wrong there...
It is ridiculous that something like this is even in the set as it has no real relation to the overall theme of "doubling" or artifacts. I will say though on a positive note that Geist of Saint Traft was a BEAST in limited and he practically singlehandedly won me the Innistrad release tournament back in the day. His lore is awesome too.

are topics like these able to be discussed at all without also talking politics? they're pretty intertwined. what's there to discuss at all if politics is ignored?
i'm genuinely asking as we keep seeing threads get locked for discussing politics when these decisions are very political to begin with.
how do you discuss him being let go without also discussing why? if its not appropriate to discuss the politics of it here... well then where?
why not just lock it up and move on? its next to impossible to remove politics from decisions made over social issues.
I believe their should be a forum on this site dedicated to what many may, or may not consider to be contraversial, or political. It is what the debate forum used to be back in the day I believe, until they removed it.
I’m more curious than anything about seeing what gets new art. I’m not jumping to conclusions that there could be new artwork of cards in this set, am I? That would be the only way I’ll buy singles (foils) from this set, depending on a case to case basis.

If you cannot have any argument at all, and think that making such horrendous claims is doing anything, you will forever breed and increase the hate among people.

I can not answer for him but wish to respond to your question with my own perspective, but "pseudo-insults" as you put are just that, insults. When one resorts to ad hominems in an attempt to work against another's arguments and the other person retaliates, doesn't make them that thing. I am guilty of this too as I have called others names that was in an effort to get a reaction out of them. Resorting to insults on that level, especially when they are not true, tears the argument down and brings it to a point of both sides simply bickering, rather than communicating and trying to understand the perspective or underlying issue that could help the other. Even though certain notions can be black and white, communication and understanding isn't, and that is why talking about things matter, no matter what you are for or against.
Man, I came late in the game around Invastion, although my brothers played with Alpha/Beta. Traded their Black Lotus for Shivan Dragons back then as many did from what I heard... lol

I met him in '95 at WotC's Artist's Caravan along with other Magic artists.
I expressed to him my enjoyment of his (I thought absurd) art for Invoke Prejudice. He lit up, and said I might be interested in some of his other art, then. He pulled out a couple artbooks filled with racist and Nazi-inspired art. Creeped out beyond belief, I sheepishly thanked him and got the hell away from that table as quick as I could.
There's a reason why he has done almost zero professional work for a long time.
His MySpace confirms he's a complete racist nutjob. I'd say "not that there's anything wrong with that", but this is the 21st century, and YEAH - THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH THAT.
