Signature confirmation is the most annoying thing ever. I work normal hours, so if a package arrives on monday and needs my signature, I have to wait all the way until the weekend to pick up something that could just be worth $20.

As for OP's situation, there shouldn't be a problem. There is a huge difference between someone with 2 feedback and 0 feedback. That means that people have actually completely transactions with the person (assuming there's no shills involved). Just use tracking and you should be fine.

Bad art is bad. It's nowhere near as good as the gatecrash version. I don't wanted to get started on the frame either, which makes it either look mono black, or like an artifact. You can barely tell that the left side is slightly lighter than the right, to indicate the colors. And it's still not really full-art.

Animist's Awakening is pretty bad, but that doesn't stop there from being 40(!) active wants of it on pucatrade. I can see myself getting behind shaman of the forgotten ways, but I couldn't trade my animist's awakenings away fast enough. There's also been a ton of activity on Dragon Whisperer. When there's over 50 wants on the same card, and the number isn't shrinking, that's a sign in my mind to NOT let them go

Something horrible has happened to me at Puca Trade. Here's the story:

I was having a bad day, yesterday, & I cursed out another member for whatever reason (makes no difference here). He complained. I was given no warning, no x-day/week/month restriction from use. Instead, my account was straight out terminated.

Here at least a warning is given.

I have about $170.00 in Puca Points and about $200.00 in points in transit.

I don't know what to do. Their rules allow them to do this and it feels like blatant thievery. I am waiting to here back from their admin. & to find a way to apologize. What I did was wrong, but their judgement is beyond harsh for being a potty-mouth.

If they do not budge, is there any ways to fight this?

Now the other members who are due points from me will have to open up cases to get their points back to them after waiting for at least 2 weeks & that is not fair to them.

I feel your pain. I logged onto my account today to print out shipping labels and I couldn't get to the sending screen. It was blank. Turns out, my account was banned. I have 35,000 points in the system, another 35,000 in the mail and had about 25,000 points coming on the way to me. No notification, no message, no heads up. Just a straight out ban. I had a number of issues in the past not sending things out in 48hrs, as life and work happens, but all receivers have been happy with the cards. There is no sort of resolution system, no sort of warning/probation system, no sort of temporary lockdown, just a flat out ban and account closure. I've sent over $11,000.00 worth of cards(mostly hard to find eternal staples) in the past 8 months, and this is the end result? I highly recommend that everyone keep the minimum amount of pucapoints in your account as possible unless you really want to get a card as there is no recourse or due process when it comes to banning your account. I'm out $700.00 in cards and points and I can't confirm receipt of the cards that are inbound to me. Ridiculous system if you ask me.

This is worrying to me. I've got about $800 in points saved up, getting nearer to my third piece of power from puca, and I am a gold member. However, I've had a bunch of minor/petty cases. Some are of my own fault, some are not, usually involving card edition (or not having the right card and having to cancel the trade), or condition not being acceptable upon arrival. A couple have been people rules-lawyering that I initiated a trade on Tuesday with intent to ship on Friday, clearly outside of puca's 48 hour rules. I'll be honest in saying that since no money is actually changing hands, I'm not going to go out of my way to rush ship a single $2 card with 50 cent shipping - it can wait so I only have to make one trip. If you get banned over that, then that pretty much means that I have to ignore every automatched trade that falls outside of my shipping window

BfZ is going to be so full of cards like drowner of hope this that calling it a bomb is a bit disingenuous. I'm not going to be windmill slamming it and high-fiving my neighbors because I pulled it. There's going to be uncommons I would take over it I'm sure.

The duals should start around $10 and drop off to around $5, probably even lower after a few months of people ripping boxes. I don't see them being anywhere near as good as shocklands, but obviously they're going to see play. That was my argument for the temples when they first came out - it didn't matter how good they were, if people wanted to play more than 1 color, they were going to have to play them regardless.

As for the expeditions, I don't want to beat a dead horse. Original foils are still going to be more pimp, baring some super amazing art (such as the gatecrash godless shrine).

Man, I have been getting a lot of missing shipments lately. I have done a lot of sales on Magiccardmarket and sent a fair amount of shipments on Puca by now to know that I'm following the right procedure, but I'm afraid that I'm giving of a bad signal to the admins with the amount of cases I'm starting to rack up. Lost a HUGE shipment of low value foils to Australia, two decent sized packages to the Ukraine and a shipment to Japan to a renowned good trader, all in july/august. Seeing as I group my sendings to about once a week / two weeks (costs of shipment from the netherlands is nothing to scoff at) that feels pretty *****ty.

Question: if an account can't be found by clicking on it's name, does that mean it's banned? Would give me some peace of mind.

I've had 3 go missing now in the last week, whereas I hadn't had a single one go missing at all in the previous couple of months. Variance, I guess.

No. You can still get the ENTIRE SDCC 2015 for under $230. If Jace is $185, that's imply that the other 4 planeswalkers total up to $45 (ignoring implied discounts for buying a 'set' at a time rather than individually).

The awaken dreadbore is going to see play. Plus, let's not quickly forget how good Nissa is/was. Turning extra lands into creatures is pretty good sometimes. The keyword is "extra" - if you're stuck on 3 lands, of course your not going to turn 1 into a creature.

So will there also be foil versions of the ultra rare cards? Because if there are I'm thinking you could buy a used car for what they'd be worth on the open market.

Well, you can get a case for under $600, and if my math checks out, you're pretty much guaranteed (mathmatically) to get one of these full-art lands in it.

If they're truly random (which they're not but close enough) and the probably is about 1/256 of a given booster having them and there are 216 boosters in a case then the probability of getting one in a case is

    1 - (1-(1/256) * 216) = 0.85

Not quite guaranteed. If we assume that the price is set just by the bulk cost of finding them then they're worth about $710 each. Of course there will also be an enormous level of demand. The value as singles will probably be around 1000 for Shocks and higher for the Fetches.

Let's not assume anything. The simply fact is that there's going to be so much BfZ opened, more than any set to date. The average expected value of a box cannot be twice what it cost. It's all fine looking at 1 in 200 packs or w/e the number is, but when you realize that ten of millions, if not hundreds of millions, of packs are going to be opened, these are going to be quite more common than you'd think.

Then there's the objectivity of it. What people consider pimp. People just see the words "full-art" and zone out, or just assign pimp factor based on a price tag. I look at them and wonder why the new full art hallowed fountain would be more pimp than an original one, and I realize that it isn't. The frame is ugly, it's not really full-art since the text box takes up a third of the card, and the art itself doesn't match the name. I'd take a foil DIS hallowed fountain over it any day, and that's ignoring the fact that original ones may actually be rarer than the full art ones.

-edit- and for the record, I fully expect for some of the less popular shocks the be readily available at $50

Well, you can get a case for under $600, and if my math checks out, you're pretty much guaranteed (mathmatically) to get one of these full-art lands in it. Honestly, I don't even think they will be worth as much as normal pack foils - I mean, the market won't sustain it any other way. You can't open a $600 case, get $600 worth of standard cards, and then a $600 full art bonus land every single time. The first print zen boxes were only like $110 even three years after their release, though those priceless treasures were significantly rarer.

So, what I see happening is BfZ being opened to death. Full-art basics become pretty much throw-aways. There hasn't been any super-awesome cards spoiled yet, nothing like voice of resurgence that you need as a 4-of in all your decks and is $50 out the gates. Ulamog is good, but he's 10 mana so you can't just shove him as a 4-of in every deck. The lands are fine, but worse than shocklands in most occasions - they might replace SoM fastlands, who knows, but they'll just be replacements for temples in standard mostly. Not something that is going to make packs fly off the shelves.

I guess what I'm saying is to not let yourself get fleeced by vendors.

These frames are hideous. If I ever pull one of these, it's going straight to Pucatrade.

Though I do appreciate that they didn't also try to cram stupid flavor text in there.

Agreed! Some people are too distracted by the fact that it's a full art land to actually look at it objectively. With this one, you can't really tell what it is by looking at it - even the white and blue color frame indicators sort of meld into the frame, and while the art itself has a fountain - I'm not sure what makes it hallowed.

  • posted a message on Store owner gets incensed when I find some overlooked cards in the bargain bin
Bargain bins are some of my favorite things to look through - you never know what you're going to find. My LGS has a pretty decent bin - a rare/mythic (with foils) box where everything is $1, and an unmarked common/uncommon foil box where prices are looked up. I've pulled some pretty sweet things out of the rare box - foil havengul lich, hurkyl's recall, painters servant, platinum emperion... the bottom line is that it's the store's job to make sure that they're not throwing away money. Let's be honest, to anyone who has a general sense of what's valuable and what's not, it only takes like 10 minutes to search a stack of 1k rares. Not doing that once in 4 years is baffling to me.

Anyways, the LGS I go to is completely cool with it, and honor the deals. A happy customer is worth more than a disgruntled once telling their friends about how slimy they are. And, I'm quite a happy customer, and keep coming back and spending my money there. And, let's be honest again - a smart owner knows that that they can take a beat up CARD X out of their bargain bin, individually sticker it and put it in their showcase, and it's going to sit there for the next year. And I'll laugh every time I see it in there. It's not about getting one over on the shop either - I recently found a handful of nourishing shoals in the bargain bin, and I gladly pointed them out to the owner. He didn't really care, as common sense dictates that since they didn't sell at $1, they aren't likely to sell at $10, but he was appreciative I pointed them out regardless.
