    Oh your absolutely right. The flavor reasons would e horrible, but during scars standard the coolest part about it was that the colors got skewed a bit and made for interesting play and deck building. If the rest of scars wasn't lol broken it might have been way more fun.

    A lot of time shifted cards did this top. Is Harmonize really in flavor all that much for green? They shifted the name so it sounds more green but we all know it's just Concentrate. I think Damnation is easily the most on flavor still even after shifting.

    But you get my point. It'd be a fun house rule to run with for a week or two, experiment around with and see how it goes. Kinda like ignoring the banlist for a week or something to let the silliness ensue then go back to good rcbanlist rules.

    I personally don't mind them as they stand. Mono G really does not need Spitting Image, as it would give GB, GW, and GR access to a clone effect and cloning is specifically supposed to be blue, save for a few weird red ones that die at eot.

    I would like to see the unlocking of Phyrexian mana cards though. I kinda contradict my previous statement saying this, I know, but giving Tezzeret's Gambit and Dismember gives glimmers of hope to other parts of the color pie at a cost. Birthing Pod would be a staple in a lot more decks, yes, but outside of G it costs health every time and that really stacks a toll quickly.

    Like bob, I expected a turn timer like chsss. Make the game capped at an hour or something. At 1 hour, person with most time logged dies, then 15 minutes is added to the game and repeats until there is a winner.

    What a heartfelt thread.

    As for me, I have 4 decks. Wrexial, Azami, Sedris, and Hazezon. Hazezon is the newest member but he's quickly growing old. It's a token deck so for me personally the replay value isn't high enough. At least azami has a billion ways to victory.

    I've been considering selling a good majority of my magi. Cards. Times are tough and I really don't get to play it my friends as much anymore. I might just boil it down to 2/3 decks I really like and work on just those and sell the goodsfuff I am not using. It's a hard life decision I'm still in the process of making..

    40 is a solid number in my opinion. Aggro is perfectly viable with this number and anyone disagreeing is frankly wrong. Voltron is the most popular, but plenty of ways to cheat things into play for aggro exists; All aggro needs is proper threat assessment and take out the biggest threats first. Purphorous, God of the Forge can burn a whole table down as soon as turn 5 or 6 with a good enough hand.

    Combo players don't need "more time". They put the game to a speed they want and combo off when they can in most groups. I don't see anyone in my group gunning to end the game because we believe it's supposed to be a social and fun format; While we compete, it's not all about winning.

    Situationally good, but there are some I'd consider better.

    Apetto Alchemist is really good (goes infinite with Illusionist Bracers)
    Koira's Follower in UG (goes infinite with Illusionist Bracers)
    Unbender Tine in UW
    Ral Zerak in UR
    Hidden Strings is a personal favorite.

    Still, in black especially it can get froggy. Cabal Coffers, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, Magus of the Coffers, Crypt of Agadeem, Lake of the Dead, and so forth.

    Simply pack the hate. Build around Torpor Orb or Mindlock orb. Run the land / artifact destruction. Sad sac them, do whatever you have to to stop people from playing ramp draw. It's a problem in my group to and the other only answer is pack the hate early.

    Purphorous, God of the Forge: Yes I understand monoR burn needed a decent commander, and this certainly delivered, but his power level is through the roof. All the decklists are basically the same token spam list with little flexing.

    Rafiq of the Many: There are interesting ways to play him, but I almost always see him as just voltron. He's just another uninspired predictable general.

    Nekusar, the Mindrazer: So cookie cutter it makes me want to throw up. Make a zombie tribal or something >_>

    Jhoira of the Ghitu: I personally have actively tried to make a decent fun JotG list, that strays from just suspending fat and MLD. It's damn near impossible. If you see Jhoira, be prepared to hold lands in your hand.

    In a nutshell, any power general that has a fairly cookie cutter build with little flexbility to it. At least Azami, Lady of Scrolls has options. I've seen people make it Day of the Dragons.dec with Coat of Arms, Eldrazi Monument and Door to destinies and it won via just beats with wizards.

    In my meta i find a lot of people actively try to abuse it and so most people set out to exile it once it hits. I don't really use it except in Hazezon, where it's part of my pod chain. For pod chains it makes all the sense in the world, but elsewhere you can normally do better. I'd personally rather use Burnished Hart for ramp than sadbot.

    I use just Crawlspace and Propaganda in Azami. Mono U doesn't have many good options. Ensnaring bridge kinda sucks if you keep a full hand lol. I'd probably consider Dissipation Field. In Mono U you don't have to worry so much about ETB shenanigans because you have counter support.

    Damia is attractive for decks that burn their hand put quickly. It you're not taking advantage of that then absolutely use wydwen. Wydwen is one of my favorite commanders and I hope to make a list for her before long, I just haven't decided on a theme for her.

    One other option you may consider is Dralnu, Lich Lord his draw back seems hefty but it really isn't. I don't know your meta but noncombat damage is pretty rare as far as I can tell, save for a few things like Blasphemous Act. Also, I'd your running a Stax package I'm sure you have token generators which help yo offset Dralnu from harm also. He offers insane card advantage and is a value engine you have to use to really see how amazing he is.

    Correct! Sundial is OP, but limited that it can not be used n your tyen


    Time stop won't effect "next end strp" stuff, as when you stop the turn you skip the current end step, but then during the next players end step, the effect will fall off. At "end of turn" effects, you never see the end of your turn, so it lasts indefinitely.

    Otherwise sundial would be useless look at Unearth and sundial if your not convinced. Sundial is a pretty big staple for Sedris (even though I don't use sundial in my sedris)

    Oracle text says "until end of turn" not "until the next end step". These are very different wordings. If the second was true, then you'd be absolutely right but it's to my understanding that "Until end of turn" effects fall off with TS, meaning they last indefinitely. The same can be said with Sundial of the Infinite and things like Toxic Deluge. Effectively the -1/-1 until end of turn becomes permanent.

    some people only allow you to grab from a 10 card sideboard. Personally, if someone want's to spend almost 10 grand on 251 ulamogs, then i'll let them do thier battle of wits lol.
