I traded a polluted delta for an honor of the pure and 2 other random white cards on mtgo back when delta was $4 online. Delta is around $30 online now. Not a big deal though.
In another trade I gave four bridge from belows and two upheavals for one underground sea on mtgo. At the time I was giving up about $4 in value. Now the bridges and upheavals are no more than 8 bucks together and the underground sea is over 35.
The best time for me though was when modern was just coming out. On mtgo all the rav shocklands went up to like $15 - $25 each when I had gotten all of mine for $1 - $3 each. So that was great.
No change is needed. Good decks mulligan less than bad decks, plain and simple.
If you find yourself taking mulligans a lot (to the point you want the rule changed), you're probably just playing with bad decks to put it simply.
Modern is getting a lot of attention right now because of mm. If the reserved list ever gets tossed and the reprints happen legacy will surge in popularity just like modern did when its cards got reprinted.
It's startling how many people here have no clue how good this is. I doubt many people here play legacy at all (casting this to deal with Emrakul, the Aeons Torn or Progenitus... rofl).
It is better than any other 3 cmc black board wipe by a long shot for most decks. Comparing it to mutilate or damnation is entirely irrelevant (BB vs B and 4 cmc vs 3 cmc). Not to mention this won't hit all of your creatures if you use it correctly.
If you draw this in your opening hand and you know your opponent is playing an aggressive deck it will be a one sided wipe on turn 3 since you were holding all your creatures.
It is not a sideboard card at all, this will be at minimum a 1 of inclusion in just about any deck splashing black that's not running a large amount of 1 toughness creatures. It's fantastic with Batterskull and Knight of the Reliquary and will be a great inclusion in pox decks as well.
People aren't catching on to how powerful the scalability is here.
