The return of BB pretty much means Geist of Saint Traft is done. Also, I'm in the "DRS didn't need the ban" camp. Card was not broken. Easy to kill, easy to play around.
So, now DRS drops in price, BB goes up $40, and I'm out some cash and will never see any BB's. This blows.
I get snapcaster decks easily dealing with DRS, but you're not thinking about some of the pure graveyard decks.
Rites was nearly unplayable, loam just dissapeared lol, living end dropped back into 2.5, dredgevine dissapeared too.
In all of modern, deathrite shaman is the second most played creature. That's reducing diversity. It's a one mana planeswalker for god sakes.
Living end lost huge traction with Scavenging Ooze. Now with DRS maindeck hate leading to BG decks being less prevalent = less Scavenging Ooze. I see living end making a comeback with zoo popping up now.
I'm personally shocked that Deathrite Shaman got banned. It was not too powerful and it died to everything.
I am glad that nacatl got unbanned.
Bitterblossom will be interesting but it could be harmful, we'll see.
I've been trying to get bitterblossoms ever since I saw the update and I can't find them anywhere on mtgo, looks like the price will skyrocket, which sucks, another rare that costs way more than it should.
The thing is, while it died to everything, graveyard decks couldn't kill it, which just wrecks that kind of matchup.
Of what I have seen of this deck, I do not think it would work in Legacy. Force and Daze would be a major issue and the larger card pool offers minimal gain to your plan. I think this is a modern deck alone.
Why even run the eggs. GR tron runs eggs so that it doesn't need to play lands which produce colors, making tron assemble incredibly quickly, usually on turn three. This is okay because GR tron wants to Sylvan Scrying / Ancient Stirrings turn two to ensure hitting the next tron piece.
I suggest you cut all of your one of's unless you have a toolbox deck. You want four of's. You're just reducing the consistency of your deck when you add extraneous cards. Since you're attempting an aggressive build, all this lifegain in your deck is meaningless. Stuff like Spellskite, Azorious Herald, Court Hussar, Aven Riftwatcher, are all meaningless.
Well as obviously shown by its consecutive wins it sure as hell can beat burn. Otherwise, it's just extremely well positioned so I'd think before saying "this deck can't beat XXX" before I type a single letter.
How can you even be a naysayer when there are results right in front of your face. #oblivious af

Bitterblossom = Idk I feel with DRS off the list. Abrupt Decay just got a whole lot less played.
DRS Ban = OH MY GOD THANK YOU. Graveyard strategies might have a chance again with BG getting a hit. That card was just too good.
Eggs played silence before, and it still would.
