I’m worried that a lot of these legends will be Kaervek Core 21 levels of awful but will spark lore memories. I’d personally like a Yawgmoth at his final form. Urza. Three color Theros Gods. Three color guild leaders since those “bond” cards indicate guilds fusing their message.
Anyone who is mad about the Pioneer bannings are the ones who play combo decks in CEDH and want to win as fast as possible. That in itself is parasitic for the game. My buddy got so mad that he’s done with Pioneer because of Ballista being banned. It’s not about the decks being strong. It’s about them being too value driven and you either playing those decks or not having a reason to even play the format.
I would love to have some of these extended then copied so I could use them in EDH. That swamp with the zombies, the forest leading out to the mountain in the distance, etc
The word Moor has multiple meanings, aside of the one you are implying.
Notably:
a tract of open uncultivated upland; a heath.
Similar: upland-moorland-heath-plateau-fell-wold-grouse moor
a tract of open land preserved for shooting.
"a grouse moor"
DIALECT•US
a fen.
It can also refer to docking a boat, but that's not relevant here. As the card itself has nothing in the art or effect to indicate any implication other than the above definition, there is no reason this card would fall into the categories of the others.
Your argument is invalid. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.
Crusade and Cleanse also have multiple meanings. Making your argument invalid.
Moor is still a heavily used slur that should not be used in modern era mtg. No matter the intention, the word still hurts. Telling me my opinion does not matter becsuse the word can and is implied to mean something else, does not deter from the fact that it can also be hurtfull.
If this art wasn’t a land you could make a case. Injecting your hurt feelings makes no sense in this context.
This is an odd one. The stats are amazing, the ability is great, and the protection is notable...
...except that banishing light can swallow this guy whole (note that the 3 life only protects against spells, not abilities).
Still think that this card is an amazing dragon that will make a big splash in commander but it lacks the immediate of something like glorybringer so I’m not sure how it will do elsewhere. Crossing my fingers, though.
If you use removal as an argument, that’s not an argument. Elspeth Conquers Death also eats this up and will be in the same standard. Glorybringer’s standard was much faster and also had Cast Out.
I wonder if they do it in a Jumpstart like way?
I never seen that Goblin before. Besides that, what else?
