I have been watching this thread for a while and finally go around to making an account.
Here is what I am planning on playing the next three months(with adjustments):
I was skeptical of Spellskites at first but after playing with them I have mainboarded 2 and kept 2 in side. Rancor is of course the best addition to this deck by far.
My Sideboard is still a work in progress; could I have some suggestions?:
My meta is fairly small with half home-brews, half competitive decks. Competitive includes Naya Pod, B/r Zombies, Tempered Steel, and thankfully, only sometimes a Delver deck.
Thanks for your input!
Don't ever use just 2 Elves, the weakness of infect is having little creatures, if they have Liliana, what will you do? Scoop?
With that many spells, you should take one out and put in Runechanter's Pike
Too inconsistent with that many miracles. Also, there is a mono green infect thread you should post that in.
Wow that list would really not work, miracles aren't good enough for infect because if you get them in hand its basically a loss...its very annoying :/
It's great for a deck like mono green that will ALWAYS have creatures, plus can ramp up the mana.
Mono green infect kind of sucks anyway, add blue and your deck is instantly ten times better. Once you do that, you are opened up to Mana Leak, Spectral Flight, Wild Defiance is still available, and you also could potentially get mileage out of Artful Dodge.
I used to play this list, and it was good. Hasn't been updated since Innistrad though. Obviously Rancor is nuts in this deck.
It really doesn't "suck" It's pretty fun but not versatile enough to be competitive.
Next FNM i'll go G/U Infect, with 4 negates and 2-3 mana leaks sideboard for if i get the same opponent, Spells kite will stop his zombies pretty hard...plus itl help vs removals.
Not if you are making him sacrifice 4 permanents. I'd play 3R target player sacrifices 4 permanents any day The main problem is, at FNM, it'd be strictly sideboard only since it's horrible against almost all other decks (well, it still usually kills a guy, it's just overcosted). I didn't realise this wasn't just casual.
yeah it is more or less.
but 1 mana -4 life > 4 mana including a splashed red dont u think?
Beast Within seems bad, it gives him a blocker for the infect dudes.
A blue splash for Blighted Agent would help you get past the Obliterator, but you still need to deal with removal spells. Apostle's Blessing or Ranger's Guile might be good. You probably need more creatures too.
Thanks, itl be either this or MGA, since blue gives me ability to get counters and negates.
Had trouble against This ;(

Plus remember, he also has dismember and tragic slip and go for the throat... :/
