It is frustrating when that happens. The thing is, commanders like Riku or Ghave, they are the precon commanders. Tons of people out there have decks with them, but in a small group of maybe six people it seems like it would not be an issue. We have been playing together for over two years, and he had never once produced a Ghave or Riku deck. He had never even once mentioned having a deck with either of those legendaries, and when I was feeling inspired to make something new Riku really jumped out at me. I don't think it was until he realized just how strong my Riku deck was starting to shape up to be that he decided to make his own. He would text me constantly, gloating about how awesome it was, even after I told him it irritated me. He proceeded to do much the same about Ghave after claiming to have already had a Ghave deck as well.
It's alright though. I've had a lot of input for my Teneb deck, and it is starting to shape up to be better than both of those ideas were anyway. That's life though. Sometimes great ideas fall apart, and even greater ones are born.
I think it will go up because more people will want it. And honestly, how many people are going to sit around and make the most random of crap just to see it get made?
I predict the cost in materials will go up when more people have 3D printers in their homes.
I run mine similar to this, only I do like to use Painlands as well, and probably before Scry.
You didn't have a written list anywhere? I always either type or write them up somewhere so I can get a better idea of what I have going on with them.
lol, me too, although I have kind of forgotten the context. Actually... Who am I kidding, there probably wasn't any.
I feel like a WiiU would actually be a decent system, if only for my kid, but I haven't owned a nintendo system since the gamecube. You do, however, make a valid point. In the last... seven? eight? years I think just about every game that has come out has had a PC port. There's been a handful of exclusives I've wanted to own, but not many.
The last generation of consoles has been the first that I've kind of more or less just completely skipped out on. I stick to my PC a lot, but I kind of want to pick up a console here lately. I've been so busy though, gaming in general falls into this weird, sometimes category.
At the end of the day... I think it's up to you. What do you like better?
EDIT: Another thought that kind of came to me as I was sitting thinking about the two decks I am in the process of building/rebuilding... The thing I like about EDH more than a lot of formats is... It's really about what you want to play. You can ask for advice and suggestions, but you should really build and play what you want to. If you want to run all of the hottest winfast/more cards, that's your choice. If not? Your choice too. Play the color that tickles your fancy with the cards that get you excited, and be happy about it. I hope whatever you land on is fun.
They are both mythics, so not sure if that really plays into things there at all, really. Craterhoof has gone up in price since the last time I looked at it as well. I mean, it's been quite a long time since I played or priced out cards, but I have a bunch of those too. With Avacyn, I can see why she gets play, even competitively in the right deck, but that is an astounding price at any level for that card. Crazy.
Wow, when the hell did her price jump so much? I need to unload a few of those.
Also... why?? I remember when she was less than five, that's just crazy.
