Is it really such a good card though? What are you blinking that makes you want to pay 3 mana for the effect? Maybe I'm not used to the D&T blinking style so I don't see the immediate benefits. Granted Eldrazi Displacer does block etched champion which is a pro.
Too bad oath doesn't pull vials or I would snap stick 4x each in a list. Question with the gods is: would I play an enchantment with this effect? I know I wouldn't.
@dcovino. Is the Selesnya Charm in the side mainly for the exile mode? Or is this sideboard more of a 'I dunno what I'm gonna face so here's a bunch' plan. I must say I like the list, a LOT.
Ok not strictly worse, it at least doesn't die from chord/coco. But I don't think going from 2 to 3 mana for 2 toughness and ability to target with chord/coco does much.
It eats etched champion if that's your jam.
While I like my current toolbox-like setup I do think a more zoo-like approach running <4 retreat and 1-2 elspeth is the most competitive at this point. Question that begs to be asked though is whether cutting knight and retreat and going naya zoo isn't just better at that point. Tough...
Just finished some testing. LGS said that 7 players wasn't enough to have a proper tourney, after one of the players pulled out coz player 8 was 10 mins late -.-.
Played against Grixis Prowess, running Abbot and Swiftspear in place of twin, basically. Discard, removal, snappy, lilli. It was really one sided. We played 3 games pre-board and 5+ post board and I won them all pretty convincingly. Twice via combo.
Also tested against Ad Nauseum. It was brutal in the other direction. Only played 2 matches though, (2-1, 2-1). Even with T1 Noble into T2 Geist and T3 Coco he was able to Angel's Grace and Phyrexian Unlife until the combo was assembled. Any thoughts on this matchup? Probably not common enough to warrant dedicated SB slots, but splash hate would be OK.
MVPs were Voice, Thalia (might move to 3 SB) and the combo. Here's the list I played.
Also do people not play search for tomorrow anymore? When I played this deck a while ago it was among the best things I could be doing T1.
Less twin = less bolt = arbor elf back in?
Fairly certain we can reliably be a fast mana deck with disruption (moon) threats (wurmcoil) and a combo finish (Belcher)

Meh.
Pridemage is just so good vs just so many.
