I don't know if this detracts from Kris Mage as our main focus since this would maybe make it seem more of a Madness deck. Regardless, I still want to suggest a couple Rummaging Goblins.
Yea I was hoping for something to consistently get the cheapo white first strikers in consistently with spells but yea it just doesn't seem worthwhile bummer..

My deck has changed quite a bit. A friend of mine is trying to combo with my Hive Mind by using lots of dmg everyone spells so I'm gonna go with the path of heal everyone I like the idea of having everyone draw to their death but I just want to heal and do nothing but screw with the games. Is the mana base fine? The Basalt Monoliths sounds great and I could toss the transmuter or something else for them.
You're right on Spoils being too harsh so I'll probably toss black in general. I'm actually considering prolonging the game by adding white to bring in healing Heroes Remembered would be cool haha.
But for the mana, if just using regular lands and signets is good enough then I'll do it since it's a tad cheaper by around $3-4 not that this deck isn't cheap enough
@Silex I was thinking of adding more draw since it seems friendly enough for making the game so messed up with Hive Mind. Library of Leng sounds like a great idea. Hmm maybe I should add howling mine to it if I do.
EDIT: So instead of Library of Leng I might just use Reliquary Tower instead.
My plan is to just rush to Hive Mind hopefully by turn 4 and watch to crazyness blossom I don't want many killer spells to play with because I want my friends to cast their stuff as well to see what kind of games we can have. Eye of the Storm isn't at 4 because after the first couple mins of using it I think it would get really old...as a matter of fact I might just remove them for another spell. So...
I want to keep this within Modern mainly because I like the newer look of the cards Looking for suggestions and my group of friends aren't really serious so it doesn't need to be as good as possible.
I'm not tossing this whole idea out but could a MUC deck work well with its victory plan being Eldrazi Conscription on something? Kinda looking for a more unique victory plan than what I've found so far in the primers and whatnot...
On a side note, this merfolk deck was actually started as a MUC deck but I wanted more options so I could go aggro and do some sort of all-rounder type deck. Thanks Bifrons for all the input and hopefully I didn't just waste your time
LASTLY, does making a whole deck of just 4x feel boring? I will probably end up getting extra cards to deal with different threats but keep this deck as a whole similar... I ask because it feels like every game you go through the same strategy when I intend to just have a fun time which is why control sounded the most flexible initially.
