I really think that most people who are voting for Eye to get the axe don't understand that Temples allows for infinitely better games than Eye, from What I have seen getting the Thought-knot Seer is incredibly important, get rid of Eye and they can still do a turn 2 TKS, while it is much less likely, it is possible. Ban Temple and there is no way the normal deck can get a Thought-knot until at least turn 3, which is much more fair for any form of control or tech to stop Eldrazi. Dumping even 2 mimics doesn't so much if you cannot pump them to 4 power by turn 2 and swing for a lot.

With temple gone the best an Eldrazi player would most likely could do is Matter Reshaper or Thought-knot BUT would require a SSG AND a colorless source, the matter reshaper just needs a colorless source but is much more fair. Even if you play the Urborg with eye out and get the mythical 4 mana out of Eye and Urborg, you cannot play any of the REALLY heavy hitters, and as I recall most Eldrazi decks don't really touch the Wasteland Strangler anymore, which doesn't do much without some form of exile. Before we got TKS, reality smasher, and mimic the Black White Eldrazi decks were powerful but not a Menance, I would love to see them go back to that power level.

Those thinking Tron would get the axe for Eldrazi's sins seems very unlikely and from most of the Bannings I have witness Wizards tries their hardest to only hurt a single archetype at the time, like when Eggs was hit, they made sure to hit Second Sunrise not Faith's Reward. Regardless the outcome I hope they unban some cards, I believe Stoneforge probably would be fine, there are a lot of 4/5 and 5/5 in the format that can deal with the Batterskull, Tasigur and Zombie Fish. I would love to see Bloodbraid but I doubt it, as stated before K-command is stupid good and being able to BB into it would be disgusting.

Did everyone forget that Planeswalkers are immune to Phyrexian Corruption? Having a spark makes it so you cannot be turned, that was the whole reason Karn was instantly cured when Venser sacrificed himself for his friend. So there is no way Nahiri is compleated.

I still think Marit Lage is the best bet, I really really doubt Emrakul would show up this early and there WOULD be spawn, which we have no emphasis of. I believe Nahiri was corrupted by Marit Lage due to whatever Sorin did to her, that he didn't want to reveal to Ugin. That Nahiri is channeling all of the plane's mana to one convergent point of Marit Lage's prison to release her. Marit Lage could very easily be Sea God that the vampires used to worship.

I am really leaning towards Marit Lage right now, did anyone notice the flavor text on the clue tokens revealed today? as I recall those who worshiped her were the Brine Shaman, which would lean more toward the old Sea god that the vampires worshiped and since Innistrad being a plane who's soul is black aligned, having a large eldritch black avatar resting in the sea.

Nahri messing with the planes mana is causing Innistrad's deep dark secret that is resting to awaken and mess with the plane in a multiple of ways, in a way to destroy it, to cause plane wide destruction the same that happened to Zendikar. It was said that Marit Lage's dreams could effect reality, so what about her will?

I would really love to see the G/B one to be something similar to this... lets just call it Deathgrowth Glade.

"Deathgrowth Glade enters the battlefield tapped

Whenever a creature dies put a +1/+1 counter on Deathgrowth Glade

T: Add B or G to your mana pool

BG: Deathgrowth Glade becomes a 0/0 Elemental creature that's still a land until end of turn."

The fact that the ultimate for Ob says "ANY" player instead of "You" makes the ultimate infinitely more powerful than the one that was originally spoiled. I am glad that my instincts about it being too weak were right, I even said if was "Any" player instead it would be so much better, now imagine in magic christmas land if you just play Treasure Cruise after ulting him... Sure I will draw 3 and you can take 6...

I would honestly like to see a Jund colored eldrazi because its basically the "colors" they show up in and would make a very interesting Jund Commander Smile

Greetings! Welcome to the Brothers' Cube, this was designed by my Brother and I who wanted to put a wide library of cards to constructive use and loved the idea of making a cube. So we created it and are going through the process of balancing and evolving the cube and would love some assistance/feedback. Hope you enjoy!

Breakdown: 585 cards, 70 of each mono color, 130 multicolor (10 of each guild, 2 of each shard/wedge, and 5 five color), 65 colorless, and 40 non-basic lands. First off noticing the off number of cards which allows for 13 player draft sets, this is to allow a rotation within the Cube even at max number of players of 12 and we considering on adding some of the odd conspiracy cards which likes adding packs.

    Powered: No.

Power-Level: My brother and I tried to achieve a power level somewhere between Legacy and Modern, there are plenty of archetypes from each.

Color Balance: Yes, but we don't count cards with off color indication

Special: Though rarity isn't really divided up evenly, each color has a "super mythic" these are cards my Brother and I consider are incredibly powerful cards that are just incredibly powerful for the limited format of this cube, allowing incredibly powerful build around strategies and are:
    Green: Natural Order
    White: Balance
    Blue: Dream halls
    Black: Reoccurring Nightmare
    Red: Sneak Attack

    Cube Tutor List: http://www.cubetutor.com/viewcube/29783

    Cube Tutor Visual Spoiler: http://www.cubetutor.com/visualspoiler/29783

I am still working on Cube Tutor to create the boosters for draft the way I set up the packs for drafting, which is: 2 of each mono color, 2 2-color, 1 tri-four-or-five color, 1 colorless, 1 land. Right now it is set up for everything but multicolor.

Would love feed back, we are currently setting up for updates for Origins. Currently we have done White, Blue, and Black but still want to add the Transform planeswalkers.

I never really understood why so many decks choose to use Crucible of Worlds over Life From the Loam... yes they both have their pros and cons.. but the decks you typically bring them in against typically have Discard and Abrupt Decay or K-Command so its a very very vulnerable target. I have used Life From the Loam, because it is a very resilient card against discard and cannot simply be destroyed before value is gained... though its a bit harder to cast and cannot be grabbed with Stirrings.

I just hope the quality of the box has improved, from what I can tell the RTR one was indeed the strongest and best designed, Theroes was very shoddy, and the Khans one looked like they just stuck a fat pack in the middle...

I really like these and would like some that are somewhat sturdy they are the perfect size for my EDH decks and fits great in my backpack.

The fetches are likely coming in the commanders 2015 product as a selling point and to reduce the price obviously. Play on, the new dual cycle, i expect too be awesome and i hope it'll be a legendary dual land with basic types

If commander 2015 needs fetches to be a selling point then I fear greatly for those decks and the health of commander as a supported format from wizards.

Oh my goodness the whine flows... Like seriously? I am glad this is confirmed, it would of been incredibly silly to have all 10 fetches in standard... second there is a high likelihood we will get the enemy fetches after Khans and Fate rotate out but we still have DTK, Origins, BFZ, and BFZ2, so that they can move them in without flooding standard. Also I really hope the dual lands we get are enemy man lands. That would be simply amazing!

But really riot? We just got allied fetches rather recently, thoughtsieze reprinted, mm2 (which still not a huge fan of but it did bring the prices down on a lot of things), origins and Dragons brought a lot of great things to modern. It will probably be soon, but seeesh like I have seen less whining on the WoW forums...

I actually disagree, I actually think the best are Lili and Gideon followed by Jace and Chandra. I like the fact that in some cases especially Lili and Jace can be flipped in response to removal either with an instant speed sac outlet for lili like the ones already present in Abzan Company or Jace can just put the 5th card to flip. Gideon I believe is very strong and is able to protect himself through an ability not the flip. Chandra if you can somehow cast 2 red spells on your opponent's turn can flip herself on your opponent's turn if they try to kill her.

I think Lili has the most potential in modern where her neg is incredibly relevant able to bring back a goyf or bob or voice or ooze to protect her or just be value, she is also incredibly easy to flip in certain decks and leaves behind a zombie just for SnG

Yoishan, I agree that All is Dust is bad vs Affinity, but few people play Affinity where I play. Gaddock Teeg is another issue, I agree that Pyroclasm looks better against him. It seems like the Gaddock teeg thing is becoming somewhat common, I saw a Tron player in the same situation as you Sunday, but bear in mind I could always bring in Pyroclasm from the board if I expect Gaddock Teeg(I wouldn't cut Pyroclasm completely, just move it to the sideboard). Smile

The thing about All is Dust is that it either looks really bad(Twin, Affinity, Mirror) or really good(B/G/x midrange, Zoo, Abzan Company, Elves). I would say its a metagame call.
Ugin fills that role though costing one more mana but stays behind forcing your opponent to deal with it, that is one of the reason I need 2 in main at the very least, Ugin is so very good against so many match ups!

Guys, what do we think about Crucible of the Worlds?

It's actually been discussed in this thread quite a bit along with Life from the Loam as part of anti-hate tech. I feel the consensus reached here was that boarding anti hate cards was way too narrow and you were often better just racing them.

But it looks like during the SCG invitationals Ali had 2 Crucibles just to deal with Amulet Bloom.

    Thoughts?

I honestly like Life from the Loam a little better as it is greatly more resilient to hate, it cannot be abrupt decayed and making me discard it can actually help me. The Dredge part was actually more useful than i thought it would be in a match up I was worried about hate but instead it filled my hand which saved me against an esper charm which was trying to get me to discard my Emrakul so i couldn't win.

I feel the fact that it can retrieve more than just one land and can be reused if needed, the dredge return is really easy with all our eggs. Funny thing he didn't use it as anti hate tech but used it to try to get a psuedo strip mine lock on his opponent which relied on his lands quite a lot.

I've added one All is Dust main and cut one Pyroclasm. I Haven't played with it much yet, but I like All is Dust as Ugin/O-Stone only wipes the board as late as turn 4, whereas in many cases I find myself wanting to do that turn 3, but Karn doesn't help stabilize against "go wide" strategies, and while Wurmcoil can be a brick wall against these strategies it is weak to path vs white decks. I'm tempted to replace all Pyroclasms with All is Dusts in addition to having four O-Stones, this makes the deck even more powerful when you have Tron online but weaker when you don't(Pyroclasm can be cast without Tron).

All is Dust wouldn't be a great all out replacement for Pyroclasm. Pyroclasm is incredibly useful against Affinity which All is Dust is useless against, not to mention sometimes you need to have them out early, if your opponent is playing hate bears a pyroclasm could cost 3 maybe but most likely annihilate his entire board, I had hate bears bring in Gaddek Taeg (or w/e) against me which would of made All is Dust impossible to cast.
