Grave Titan does a lot of good things.
- not a legend, and cannot be bounced with karakas
- dodges edict effects if the trigger resolves
- races most any deck
- @6 CMC is castable off of dark ritual (note some also side in Lake of the Dead with multiple titans as a backup plan vs. leyline.

I realy like the idea of revealing afireblast with it.
or the fact that it's damage that can't be countered (or only with stifle).
or is the 3 mana cost just to expensive?
this is the list I would play.
note that the sin prodder replaces 1 flame rift and the 3rd sulfuric vortex.
the sulfuric vortex in the sideboard replaces a vexing shusher.
The average CMC of the spells in the deck is about 2, and about 1/3 of the deck is lands. They'll very rarely let you draw the card. So, on your upkeep, 1/3 of the time you flip a land and deal zero. 2/3 of the time, you deal an average of 2 damage. 1/3 x 0 + 2/3 x 2 = 4/3 points of damage on your upkeep. It's about the same as Curse of the Pierced Heart, but the Curse is cheaper to cast and is harder to kill because it's not a creature. Note how no one is playing the Curse outside of Pauper Burn. Sin Prodder isn't something that Burn wants, either. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
